Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Slugs home run in win
Swanson went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Padres.
Swanson has his power stroke working lately, as that's now three home runs over his last six games. The shortstop isn't doing much else at the plate, as he's only batting .233, though fantasy managers won't complain about the long balls. Swanson hit 16 home runs last year, and he could fly past that number if he sustains his recent level of performance.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Moving up to leadoff spot
Perdomo is hitting atop Arizona's batting order for Saturday's game against the Nationals.
Arizona used either Ketel Marte (hamstring) or Corbin Carroll to bat leadoff in each of the team's first eight games, but with Marte landing on the injured list Saturday morning, Perdomo will get a chance to hit atop the order. The 25-year-old shortstop has certainly looked the part of a leadoff hitter so far this season, slashing .379/.375/.552 with a home run, 11 RBI, five runs and two stolen bases through 33 plate appearances. Carroll will bat second Saturday after hitting leadoff in half of the team's initial eight contests.

Mookie Betts RF | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Swipes first bag
Betts went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in a 3-2 loss to the Phillies on Friday.
While Betts didn't notch a hit in the contest, he gave his fantasy managers some cause for celebration with a ninth-inning steal of second base. The star shortstop then came around to score when the next batter, Tommy Edman, launched a two-run homer. Betts is a pretty good bet to reach double-digit steals given that he has achieved that mark in every season since 2015, though he can be regarded as more of a consistent than a prolific base-stealer given that he hasn't swiped more than 16 bags in a regular season since 2019.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Phillies' Trea Turner: Makes impact on basepaths Friday
Turner went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.
Turner was the only member of the Philadelphia lineup to log an extra-base hit against Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Friday, and he was able to cross the plate on a throwing error after stealing third base in the first inning. Although Turner has just one extra-base knock over 19 plate appearances thus far, the star shortstop is hitting .313 with two runs scored, two steals and three walks in the early going.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Heating up in April
Abrams went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-4 loss to Arizona.
Abrams got the Nationals on the board with a solo shot in the first inning off Diamondbacks right-hander Brandon Pfaadt. After going just 2-for-13 in three outings to open the campaign, Abrams is 7-for-16 with three long balls, two doubles, four RBI and one stolen base over his past four contests.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Giants' Willy Adames: Plays hero Friday
Adames went 3-for-7 with a double, three RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 10-9 extra-innings win over the Mariners.
Adames hit an RBI double in the fifth inning to give the Giants a 6-5 lead. That was one of many twists and turns in the game, which ended with his two-run, walk-off single in the 11th. He doubled his hit total for the season and is now batting .200 (6-for-30) with six RBI and three runs scored over seven contests. Adames also logged his first steal of the campaign, and he could be a contributor with his speed after a career-high 21 thefts in 2024 with the Brewers.

Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: On base three times Friday
Lindor went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 5-0 win over the Blue Jays.
Lindor's bat is coming around after a slow start to the season. He's hit safely in three straight games and also collected his second steal of the campaign, as well as his first two walks and first extra-base hit, in this contest. The shortstop is batting .136 over six games and has added two RBI and three runs scored so far this season. He's a notorious slow starter, but fantasy managers should expect Lindor to be fine in the long run, especially if he stays atop a strong lineup.

Nick Allen SS | HOU
Braves' Nick Allen: Third straight start
Allen is starting at shortstop and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Marlins.
It's the third straight start for Allen, who has three hits and two stolen bases in the first two of those starts. He could be making a push to take the starting job away from Orlando Arcia.
-
Orlando Arcia 3B | COL
Braves' Orlando Arcia: Absent from lineup again Friday
Arcia is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Marlins.
After starting four of the first five games of the season, Arcia has now been absent from the lineup in three straight contests. Nick Allen will make his third straight start at shortstop and bat eighth.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Cubs' Vidal Brujan: Recovery stalled
Brujan's recovery from a right elbow strain has stalled, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Throwing in particular remains an issue for Brujan. It's not clear whether he will be shut down for a bit or just limited in his activities, but either way the utility player is not close to coming off the 10-day injured list.
