Pena went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 9-3 win over the Guardians.

Pena was a thorn in the Guardians' side all game, homering in the third and seventh innings before adding an RBI single in the eighth. The shortstop has now recorded multiple hits in three straight games, piling up four extra-base hits and six RBI during that stretch. For the year, he's slashing .289/.351/.461 with six home runs, 18 RBI, 28 runs scored and five steals across 168 plate appearances.

Pratt went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 loss to Atlanta.

Pratt led off the seventh inning with a single before stealing second base. Unfortunately for Pratt's fantasy managers, the Brewers decided to pinch hit for the rookie with the bases loaded in the eighth inning, turning to lefty Sal Frelick. Through four major-league contests, Pratt has gone 4-for-12 with two RBI, one run scored, two steals and a 1:4 BB:K while starting each game at shortstop.

Lux (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment June 29, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lux has been on the injured list all season due to shoulder and ankle issues, though he was cleared to resume taking live batting practice last week. Manager Kevin Cash said Friday that the 28-year-old's shoulder is feeling better now that he's a month removed from suffering a setback during a rehab game, but the Rays will continue to bring him back slowly and wait until the end of the month before returning him to minor-league action. More information about the duration of Lux's upcoming rehab assignment may come once he begins playing in games.

Witt has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee following an MRI, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Witt had to exit Thursday's game versus the Cardinals when his knee twisted awkwardly on a sliding stop at shortstop, and he is not in the lineup Friday. Royals manager Matt Quatraro referred to the diagnosis as a "best-case scenario," adding that the club will see how Witt is feeling Sunday following the team off day Saturday before determining next steps. That suggests Witt has a chance to avoid the 10-day injured list.

Caballero is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds.

Caballero will hit the bench Friday after a run of seven straight starts, during which he batted .346 (9-for-26) with a double, two homers, nine RBI and five runs. Anthony Volpe is starting at shortstop in the series opener versus Cincinnati.

WItt (knee) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

Witt departed Thursday's game against the Cardinals with an apparent knee issue after his right leg twisted under him on a sliding attempt at shortstop, and he'll sit for at least one game. A rare team day off Saturday will provide the All-Star shortstop two straight days of rest heading into Sunday's series finale.

Lee went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Thursday's 9-3 win over the Rangers.

Lee extended Minnesota's lead to 4-0 in the first inning with his two-out shot off Jack Leiter, his 12th homer this season. Over his last nine games, Lee has gone 8-for-32 (.250) with three home runs and no strikeouts. Overall, he's slashing .238/.294/.423 with 42 RBI, 32 runs scored and three stolen bases across 283 plate appearances this year.

Montgomery went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Yankees.

Montgomery opened the scoring in the second inning, taking Ryan Weathers deep for a solo shot. The blast was his 20th home run of the season, moving him into a tie for fifth in the majors. The shortstop has been on an impressive power surge lately, collecting four homers and seven RBI over his last four games. Montgomery is slashing .230/.325/.516 with 13 doubles, 45 RBI, 36 runs scored and one stolen base across 70 games.

Witt exited Thursday's contest against the Cardinals in the fourth inning due to an apparent right knee injury, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Witt torqued his right knee/leg while attempting to make a sliding stop at shortstop in the top of the fourth inning, and he ultimately exited the game before his next at-bat in the bottom of the frame. Witt will finish his night having gone 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Tyler Tolbert has replaced him in the lineup.

Turner exited Thursday's contest against the Mets in the third inning after suffering a right calf contusion, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.

Turner took a 79.2-mph sweeper from Sean Manaea off his right calf in the bottom of the first inning, and as a result, he was removed from the contest a couple frames later. The shortstop has now been forced out of two of the team's last four games due to hit-by-pitches. In his absence Thursday, Edmundo Sosa has shifted to shortstop while Justin Crawford has entered the lineup in the outfield. More information on Turner's status will likely be provided in the near future.
