Correa batted sixth and went 1-for-4 in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Athletics.

Correa opened the season as the fifth-place hitter but was dropped to sixth Sunday. That seems to run counter to expectations, as Houston was without two-hole hitter Michael Brantley (wrist). Instead, both Yordan Alvarez and Yuli Gurriel jumped above Correa.

Owings went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Dodgers.

With the Rockies facing another southpaw Sunday, Owings was back in the lineup at second base. He was able to do some damage out of the leadoff position, reaching base multiple times and scoring once. If Owings can consistently find ways to get on base, he may get more opportunities to face right-handed pitchers.

Anderson left Sunday's game against the Angels with a tight hamstring but isn't expected to miss much time, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anderson exited after hurting himself while trying to beat out a grounder, but he seems to have avoided a serious injury. Leury Garcia replaced him at shortstop and could start there for a game or two, but Anderson isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list.

The versatile infielder enjoyed a resurgence at the plate during the truncated 2020 season after a dismal and injury-riddled 2019, and early in the new campaign, Wendle seems ready to take things up yet another notch at the plate. Saturday's first multi-hit effort of the season followed a game-winning three-run home run Friday in his 2021 debut.

Seager is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Rockies, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said he wanted to get his regulars a day off early in the season. With the team traveling to Oakland for a series beginning Monday, stars Seager and Cody Bellinger will get a breather. Seager, who already has eight hits this season, will be replaced at shortstop by Gavin Lux with Zach McKinstry taking over at second base.

Perdomo will start at shortstop and bat eighth Sunday against the Padres.

After making his debut off the bench Saturday, Perdomo will enter the starting lineup for the first time as a major leaguer to face right-hander Chris Paddack. The expectation is that Josh Rojas will get the majority of the starts at shortstop while Nick Ahmed (knee) is sidelined, but Perdomo is a top prospect in the organization and his running ability makes him an interesting streamer in leagues that allow daily roster moves.

Perdomo entered the blowout loss in the eighth inning and got his first MLB at-bat. He's up with Arizona while Nick Ahmed (knee) is on the injured list, but Josh Rojas is expected to get the majority of starts at short, per Steve Gilbert of MLB.com.

Seager went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Saturday's win over the Rockies.

Seager hit a double off Jon Gray and later drove in a run, scoring Gavin Lux, in the top of the seventh. Seager has started the season on fire, recording two or more hits in each of his first three games and posting a .667 average through his first three appearances so far.

Diaz went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Saturday's 9-1 win over the A's.

Seeing his first action of the season and getting the start at third base, Diaz was a key cog in the Astros' offensive explosion Saturday. The veteran utility player is looking to rebound after posting career lows in batting average (.241) and OBP (.254) in 2020, albeit in only 59 plate appearances, and Diaz could be right back in the lineup Sunday in left field if Michael Brantley (wrist) is held out after being hit by a pitch Saturday.
