Baez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's win over the Mets.

Baez got the scoring started early by taking Marcus Stroman deep in the first inning. Although it's been a slow month and he is batting .232/.269/.478 overall the season, Baez still leads the Cubs with 16 long balls and 44 RBI.

Edman (torso) will be back in the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta, Jim Hayes of Bally Sports Midwest reports.

Edman sat out each of the last two games due to torso tightness, but he'll return to action in Thursday's series opener. The 26-year-old has gone 5-for-22 with three doubles and three runs across his last five games.

Crawford isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Crawford drew starts in each of the last four games and went 2-for-13 with a home run, three RBI, two runs and two walks during that time. Mauricio Dubon will take over at shortstop and bat eighth.

Swanson went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a triple and an additional run scored in a loss to the Red Sox on Wednesday.

With Atlanta trailing by three runs in the fifth inning, Swanson came through with a three-run blast to left field to temporarily tie the score. The long ball, his first since June 3, was his 11th of the season and pushed his RBI total to 30. He is slashing .237/.286/.448 on the campaign.

Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two runs and an RBI in Wednesday's win over Atlanta.

Bogaerts went deep in two of his previous three games, but he did his damage with two-baggers Wednesday, collecting a trio of doubles for his 22nd multi-hit game of the season. The star shortstop's fifth-inning double was particularly important as it gave the Red Sox a temporary 5-3 lead. Bogaerts is tied for third in MLB with 20 doubles on the campaign while slashing an impressive .325/.387/.571 with 13 homers, 41 RBI and four stolen bases.

Story went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks, two RBI, two stolen bases and three runs scored in Wednesday's 8-7 win over San Diego.

Story did a little bit of almost everything in an impressive performance at the plate. The star shortstop went 4-for-9 with three doubles, three RBI, five runs scored and a pair of steals in the three-game series versus San Diego. He's slashing .251/.332/.415 with five home runs, 11 steals, 26 RBI and 32 runs scored across 235 plate appearances overall.

Mondesi (hamstring) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Detroit.

The shortstop missed two weeks with a hamstring strain. In limited time this year, Mondesi has three homers, six RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base. The speedster will likely take on an everyday role going forward if he can stay healthy, which will leave Nicky Lopez and Hanser Alberto as bench options.

Ahmed is not starting Wednesday's game against the Giants.

The day off comes at a good time for Ahmed, who's hitless in three consecutive games and in six of his last eight. He has also failed to draw a walk in that stretch. Josh Rojas gets the start at shortstop Wednesday.

Seager (hand) is expected to hit in Arizona this weekend and begin his rehab assignment late next week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

This will mark a notable step in Seager's quicker-than-expected recovery from a fractured right hand, which he suffered when getting hit by a pitch May 15. Considering the length of his absence, the shortstop figures to require multiple rehab games before being activated, so a late-June return remains realistic.

Anderson went 3-for-4 with a stolen base Tuesday in the White Sox's 3-0 win over the Rays.

Anderson delivered his third multi-hit game in a row, with the 27-year-old going 8-for-13 with a pair of doubles, four runs and two RBI over that stretch. Thanks to the hot streak, Anderson has lifted his season-long batting average from .291 to .311. He'll look to keep the momentum going in Wednesday's series finale; he'll bat leadoff and start at shortstop.
