Seager went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Saturday's win over the Rockies.

Seager hit a double off Jon Gray and later drove in a run, scoring Gavin Lux, in the top of the seventh. Seager has started the season on fire, recording two or more hits in each of his first three games and posting a .667 average through his first three appearances so far.

Diaz went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Saturday's 9-1 win over the A's.

Seeing his first action of the season and getting the start at third base, Diaz was a key cog in the Astros' offensive explosion Saturday. The veteran utility player is looking to rebound after posting career lows in batting average (.241) and OBP (.254) in 2020, albeit in only 59 plate appearances, and Diaz could be right back in the lineup Sunday in left field if Michael Brantley (wrist) is held out after being hit by a pitch Saturday.

DeJong went 2-for-3 with two walks, two solo home runs and three total runs scored in Saturday's loss to the Reds.

Tyler Mahle baffled most of the St. Louis lineup, but not DeJong. Batting out of the cleanup spot, DeJong homered in the second inning and again in the fourth, his first two long balls of the 2021 campaign. He should have plenty of RBI opportunities this season batting directly behind Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Pirates.

After leading off the second inning with a single to left field, Baez swiped second and third base around a Joc Pederson strikeout before Jake Marisnick brought him home. Baez stole only three bags in 59 games last year and has only one 20-SB season on his resume in 2018, but the 28-year-old may be looking to prove he can still make an impact on the basepaths in 2021.

Seager is starting Saturday's game at Colorado but will receive the day off for Sunday's series finale, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Manger Dave Roberts plans to give every lineup regular a day off early in the season, and Seager's turn to sit comes Sunday. The 26-year-old is 5-for-8 with one double, three runs, two RBI and three walks through two games.

Ahmed landed on the 10-day injured list with right knee inflammation Saturday.

Ahmed broke camp on the big-league roster despite battling a sore knee for most of March. He failed to appear in either of the team's first two games, however, and he'll now be out for at least another week. It's not clear when exactly he's expected to return. Geraldo Perdomo was recalled in a corresponding move, though it will be Josh Rojas who starts at shortstop for the third straight game Saturday against the Padres.

Diaz will bat third and play third base Saturday against Oakland, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Diaz battled a minor hamstring issue late in camp and didn't appear in either of the Astros' first two games. He'll be filling a key spot in the order in his season debut Saturday, slotting in between Michael Brantley and Kyle Tucker.

Ahmed (knee) is likely headed to the injured list, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Arizona is promoting its shortstop of the future, Geraldo Perdomo, from the minors in what is expected to be a short-term stay while Ahmed gets right physically. On Friday, Ahmed said he hoped his knee soreness wouldn't linger all season, which was an ominous quote. He has already had a platelet-rich plasma injection, so it sounds like Arizona is trying everything it can to help Ahmed get right.

Perdomo is being called up to the majors Saturday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Arizona's shortstop of the future, Perdomo is not expected to be up for good, but it sounds like Nick Ahmed (knee) is headed to the injured list, so Perdomo will fill in at the six in the short term. Of course, if he were to really impress, those plans could change. Perdomo lacks big raw power, but the 21-year-old switch hitter has an excellent approach at the plate and is an above-average runner.

Camargo was recalled ahead of Saturday's game against the Phillies.

Ehire Adrianza was placed on the injured list as he goes through COVID-19 protocols, so Camargo will serve as the team's utility infielder in the meantime.
