Reginald Preciado SS | CHC
Padres' Reggie Preciado: Joins 60-man roster
Preciado was added to the Padres' player pool Tuesday.
The Panamanian-born infielder signed with the Padres last July but was withheld from minor-league action. He's extremely raw and still only 17 years of age, so his addition to the player pool is purely for developmental reasons at the team's alternate training site.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Goes yard in nightcap
Edman went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run during a 6-3 loss to the Tigers in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader.
His fifth-inning shot off Tyler Alexander gave the Cards a 3-0 lead before the bullpen fell apart, although Edman was also caught stealing for the third time in four attempts this year -- a far cry from his 15-for-16 performance on the basepaths as a rookie. The 25-year-old is slashing .262/.326/.415 through 35 games with four homers and 19 RBI.

Adalberto Mondesi SS | BOS
Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Productive day at dish
Mondesi went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk, three RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored Thursday against Cleveland.
The highlight was a three-run homer in the eighth inning. He continued to produce on the basepaths, recording his 13th stolen base of the campaign in the third inning after reaching base on a walk. Mondesi is quietly riding a seven-game hitting streak. That's bolstered his season-long line to .204/.232/.290 with two home runs, 15 runs scored and 11 RBI across 170 plate appearances.

Blue Jays' Orelvis Martinez: Added to player pool
Martinez was added to the Blue Jays' 60-man-player pool Thursday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Now one of the Jays' top prospects, Martinez signed a $3.5 million deal with Toronto back in July of 2018. He will get the opportunity to further his development at the team's alternate training site.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Lands on IL
Berti (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
He has been out with a stiff right finger, which is apparently serious enough for him to miss at least 10 days. Isan Diaz was recalled in a corresponding move.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Still not starting
Berti (finger) isn't in Thursday's lineup against the Phillies.
Berti missed the past two games after suffering a bruised finger Monday, and he'll sit once again Thursday. It's unclear whether he'll be available off the bench. Jazz Chisholm will start at second base once again.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: Still sidelined Thursday
Fletcher (ankle) is not in Thursday's lineup against the Rangers.
There was some thought that he could return from the injured list when first eligible, but that will seemingly not be the case. Fletcher has been progressing well, so hopefully he can make it back for this weekend's series in Coors Field.

Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Joins hit parade
Arcia went 4-for-6 with a double and three runs in Wednesday's victory over the Tigers.
Arcia joined the Brewers' hit parade Wednesday, accounting for four of the 21 hits the club banged out. Of the 29 hits Arcia has recorded this season, 10 have come in three games, but that doesn't change the fact he hitting .257 and owns a .328 OBP -- a mark that tops the number he finished with in each of his four other seasons in the big leagues.
