Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs in Thursday's victory over Baltimore.
The shortstop registered his fifth multi-hit effort of the campaign in the win and swatted his fifth homer -- a solo shot to left field in the third inning. Bogaerts boosted his batting average nearly 20 points with the effort and is now slashing .282/.347/.506 through 95 plate appearances.

Anderson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a single, two runs scored and a stolen base in Thursday's 9-0 win over the Tigers.
Anderson extended Chicago's lead to 5-0 with his home run off Tyler Alexander in the fourth inning. The 2019 MLB batting champion is 13-for-32 with four homers and seven RBI since being reinstated from the injured list on Aug. 11. He will bring an impressive .379/.414/.758 slash line into the weekend series with the Cubs.

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Expected back Monday
The tentative plan is for DeJong (not injury related) to rejoin the Cardinals on Monday, Mark Saxon of The Athletic reports.
DeJong will spend the weekend working out at the team's alternate camp site before hopefully rejoining the Cardinals ahead of Monday's series opener against the Royals. The shortstop has been sidelined all month following a positive COVID-19 test, leaving Tommy Edman to handle primary shortstop duties.

Seager is not starting Thursday against the Mariners.
Seager has started the past seven games, going 7-for-31 with three home runs, 10 RBI and a 2:5 BB:K over that stretch. Chris Taylor is covering shortstop in his stead, with Enrique Hernandez entering the lineup at second base.

Crawford will get what appears to be a routine day off following a string of 11 straight starts. Through 25 games this season, the shortstop is hitting .234/.336/.287 with four stolen bases and 15 runs scored. Dylan Moore is covering shortstop in his place Thursday.

Gordon is sitting for Thursday's series finale with left-hander Clayton Kershaw toeing the rubber for the Dodgers. Sam Haggerty is starting in left field and hitting leadoff in his place.

Rojas (not injury related) was activated from the injured list Thursday.
As expected, Rojas has been cleared to rejoin the Marlins after missing more than three weeks due to a positive COVID-19 test. Prior to landing on the IL, Rojas appeared in three games and went 7-for-10 with a home run, five RBI and a stolen base. He should immediately reclaim everyday shortstop duties for Miami.

Rojas (not injury related) is expected to rejoin the Marlins on Thursday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Rojas, who played in just three games before landing on the IL due to a positive COVID-19 test, is ready to return after spending the past week getting up to speed at Miami's alternate camp site. It remains to be seen whether he will immediately rejoin the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Mets, but either way Rojas should quickly settle back in as the team's everyday shortstop.
