Baez went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Royals.

Baez looked more like his normal self Wednesday after going 0-for-7 with four strikeouts in the first two games of the series against Kansas City. His .229 average and .728 OPS for the season are below his usual marks, but the 27-year-old is capable of going on a hot streak at any moment.

Anderson (groin) is heading to the alternate training site Thursday to begin his rehab work and hopes to return from the injured list next week, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The 27-year-old suffered the groin strain Friday and subsequently landed on the injured list, but he may be able to return when first eligible Tuesday. More information should be available once Anderson gets into the meat of his rehab. Leury Garcia should continue to fill in at shortstop in the meantime.

Mateo (illness) is impressing at the Padres' alternate training site and could be moved to the big-league club soon, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Mateo missed most of summer camp after testing positive for COVID-19, but he has been working out at the team's alternate site and appears close to a promotion to the big-league roster. It is unclear how much playing time Mateo would receive out the gate with Jurickson Profar, Greg Garcia and Jake Cronenworth all vying for time at second base. To make matters more complicated, MLB rosters are sent to be reduced from 30 to 28 on Thursday.

Edman, who's started at third base in all five of his games thus far this season, is expected to shift to shortstop in the wake of Paul DeJong's (illness) absence, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The key takeaway from a fantasy standpoint is that Edman will naturally continue in an everyday role as he looks to build on an interesting start to the season at the plate. While the 25-year-old is hitting just .250 and has an on-base percentage of .286, he also boasts a .550 slugging percentage since three (one double, one triple, one home run) of his five hits have gone for extra bases.

Fletcher went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over Seattle on Tuesday.

With the Angels staked to a two-run lead in the seventh inning, Fletcher went deep to left field with a runner on base to provide a pair of insurance runs. The long ball was the first of the season for Fletcher, who is slashing a healthy .357/.442/.500 with seven runs and seven RBI through 11 games.

Wendle went 3-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and a run in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

The versatile infielder has looked like a completely different hitter thus far in 2020 compared to last season, as Wendle's clean bill of health has allowed him to rediscover the stroke that led to a pair of .300-average campaigns in 2017 and 2018. Tuesday's three-bagger and steal were both firsts for the 30-year-old in the current season, while the multi-hit tally was his third in the last seven games.

Berti went 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Orioles.

Getting the start at second base and hitting second, Berti wasted little time in showcasing his wheels, beating out an infield hit in the first inning and then swiping second for his first steal of the year. The 30-year-old utility player should get regular at-bats for the Marlins while the team's roster recovers from its COVID-19 outbreak, so after amassing 17 steals in 73 games last season, Berti will have plenty of chances to add to his 2020 total.

Ahmed went 1-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's loss against the Astros.

Ahmed is having a disappointing season, as he has recorded just three hits -- all singles -- in his first 34 at-bats, good for a paltry .088 average. He shouldn't be targeted in any formats until he finds a way to turn things around.

Correa went 3-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Correa is one of the few Houston batters off to a productive start. He's hit safely in nine of 10 games played, going 14-for-36 with five extra-base hits (two homers) and six RBI.

Seager (quad) is expected to return to the field Wednesday after starting at designated hitter each of the last two games, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Seager missed Sunday's contest with a left quadriceps injury, but he has been well enough to play as the team's designated hitter Monday and Tuesday. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that Seager is likely to return to his customary shortstop position Wednesday against San Diego. Seager has enjoyed a strong start to the season, slashing .356/.408/.644 with three home runs and seven RBI.
