Anderson (ankle) took batting practice and went through mobility drills Saturday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anderson sustained a high-ankle sprain June 25 in Boston and was given a 4-to-6-week prognosis. He's looking at a return around the end of the July and will likely require a rehab assignment.

Gordon went 0-for-3 with a stolen base in Saturday's 9-2 loss to the Angels.

Gordon reached on a fielder's choice in the seventh inning and promptly stole second base, his 16th stolen base this year. The second baseman is hitting .260/.290/.350 with 25 RBI and 25 runs scored in 70 games this season.

Correa (ribs) will begin a rehab assignment Monday with Triple-A Round Rock, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Correa was originally expected to start the rehab stint Wednesday or soon after, but he'll instead kick things off a couple days earlier. The 24-year-old isn't eligible to be activated until July 26 due to his recent move to the 60-day injured list, so there will be no rush in getting him back up to speed.

Arcia is not starting Saturday against San Francisco.

Mauricio Dubon was sent back to the minors Saturday, removing one competitor for playing time at shortstop, but Tyler Saladino (who will start Saturday in Arcia's absence) remains. Arcia's .236/.268/.401 slash line doesn't necessarily deserve an everyday spot in the lineup, but Saladino has hit just .100/.129/.100 in 13 games, so he hasn't exactly been a significant threat thus far.

Edman is not in the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.

Edman has shown good power in his young career, hitting .263/.288/.509 in 22 games, adding three homers and three steals. He started eight of the last 10 games in the first half as well as the first game of the second half, but his role may shrink with Matt Carpenter back from his back injury. Edman and Kolten Wong should split time at second base for the time being, though the playing-time breakdown between the pair remains to be determined.

Wendle went 2-for-5 with an RBI single, a double, a stolen base and a run in a win over the Orioles on Friday.

The versatile infielder endured a first half to forget, as he spent significant time sidelined by injury and struggled to find his timing at the plate as a result. However, in a testament to talent eventually rising to the forefront, Wendle appears to progressively be clawing himself out of the hole. Factoring in Friday's production, the 29-year-old is hitting .327 with five doubles, five RBI, three walks, four stolen bases and eight runs since June 22, a 13-game span during which he's boosted his season average 124 points to .211.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Friday's 8-1 win over the Dodgers.

Bogaerts provided the cushion with his seventh-inning homer -- his 18th of the season -- following an extended rain delay. He's closing in on a second consecutive 20-homer/100-RBI season. Over the past 10 games, Bogaerts has four homers and 17 RBI.

Adames is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Joey Wendle will receive the start at shortstop for Game 1 of the doubleheader. Adames had a nice return from the All-Star break as he recorded a multi-hit game with a double and an RBI in the Rays' 16-4 thrashing of the Orioles on Friday night. Look for Adames to be back at his normal starting role at short in the second game of the day.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-7 win over the Brewers.

The Giants were facing homer-prone righty Chase Anderson on Friday, but Crawford surprisingly went deep off one of the league's top lefty relievers in Josh Hader. The 32-year-old has been more successful against same-handed pitchers this season, batting .265 against southpaws compared to .206 against righties. Even with the impressive long ball, Crawford's overall slash line of .224/.290/.354 has been disappointing.

Arcia (shoulder) is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Arcia was carted off the field last weekend after a collision with second baseman Keston Hiura, but he managed to avoid a serious injury and is back for the first game of the second half. While the shortstop appeared to be falling out of favor after a series of absences in late June, he started three straight and four of five before the collision, so he should still be considered the primary option for now.
