  • Rays' Andrew Velazquez: Called up from Triple-A

The Rays recalled Velazquez from Triple-A Durham on Monday.

Velazquez has seen action at all three outfield spots and three infield positions at Durham this season, so he'll offer some defensive versatility off the bench while he's up with the big club. The 24-year-old was previously up with the Rays for a brief time in April but didn't see any game action.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Opens scoring Sunday

Correa went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Correa's second-inning homer, his seventh, answered the Angels' run in the bottom of the first. It also extended his hitting streak to 15 games, during which he's slashing .306/.343/.629 with five homers, five doubles, 13 RBI and nine runs scored. The career .278-hitter is up to .291 over 117 at-bats.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Homers, collects three hits

DeJong went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 13-5 loss to the Cubs.

DeJong drilled a two-run homer to make it 13-4 in the ninth inning, but obviously it was a futile effort. The 25-year-old connected for his first homer since April 23, giving him six on the year alongside a .992 OPS in 149 plate appearances.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Belts another homer

Bogaerts went 1-for-5 with a grand slam Sunday against the White Sox.

Bogaerts' lone hit of the day was a big one, as he extended the lead to five in the eighth inning with a grand slam to left field. The 26-year-old has now homered in back-to-back games, giving him six home runs and 22 RBI through 33 contests.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Crushes go-ahead shot

Crawford hit a two-run, pinch-hit homer in the ninth inning of Sunday's 6-5 win over the Reds.

Crawford got the day off but still made an impact, picking a great time to hit his first homer of 2019. Still, he owns an ugly .211 average with five RBI and 32 strikeouts on the year.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Cranks pair of doubles

Seager went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk and a run in the Dodgers' 8-5 defeat to the Padres on Sunday.

The shortstop has been slumping of late, but he reached base three times in this contest, lacing a pair of two-baggers to give him 10 doubles on the season. He's still hitting just .232 through 125 at-bats, but hopefully this performance is a sign Seager is primed for a hot streak that will start to pump his average back toward his career mark of .295.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Gets breather

Crawford will sit Sunday against Cincinnati.

Crawford heads to the bench for just the third time all season. Yangervis Solarte gets the call at shortstop.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: On bench Sunday

Ahmed is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rockies.

Ahmed sits for just the second time all season. Ketel Marte will handle shortstop in his absence.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Back on bench

Berti is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Berti had started six of the Marlins' previous seven games, with his spike in at-bats mostly a result of Neil Walker missing time due to hamstring and knee injuries. Walker returned to the lineup Saturday and will check in at first base again in the series finale, so Berti will retreat to a bench role while Martin Prado moves across the diamond to the hot corner.

  • Marlins' Rosell Herrera: Sits after three straight starts

Herrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Herrera had started each of the past three games in center field and provided the Miami offense with a nice lift, registering four hits in 11 at-bats and driving in four. Isaac Galloway will check into the starting nine in the series finale, but Herrera looks to be ahead of him on the depth chart for now.
