Cruz suffered a fractured foot while sliding into second base Friday, general manager Neal Huntington said during his Sunday radio show.

Huntington said Cruz will be out for a "decent amount of time" and provided no timetable for a return. The 6-foot-6 infielder had already missed time in April with a lower-body injury. Cruz was off to a slow start, batting just .238 with one homer and four stolen bases in 11 games. The 20-year-old moved up prospect rankings in 2018 with a slash line of .286/.343/.488, including 14 home runs and 11 stolen bases for Low-A West Virginia.

Rojas went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.

Rojas got the Marlins on the board in the fourth inning with an infield single, but it was the only run Miami would put up on the day. He extended his hitting streak to five games following Sunday's performance.

Gordon will bat atop the Mariners' order on Sunday against the Rangers, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon got the day off Saturday due to a lengthy slump but will return to the top of the team's lineup Sunday. He's already swiped eight bases this season, though only one has come since April 13.

Crawford went 1-for-4 in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.

Crawford is slashing a disappointing .207/.277/.228 with just two extra-base hits and two RBI through 27 games. The 32-year-old's .288 BABIP is not far off his career average of .298, so his slow hitting start can't be attributed to bad luck. On a positive note, the shortstop's medium (47 percent) and hard contact (34.8 percent) rates are in line with recent years, but he is failing to put those hard balls in the air (career-worst 2.06 GB/FB). It sounds like Crawford's issues may be mechanical rather than a total drop-off in skill, but fantasy owners may not want to wait around for him to figure things out.

Story went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 9-5 win over Atlanta.

His ninth-inning blast off Dan Winkler didn't affect the outcome -- the Rockies had already come back to take a 6-5 lead in the ninth before Story stepped to the plate -- but it gave them more than enough insurance. The shortstop is now slashing .292/356/.547 through 27 games with seven homers and 19 RBI.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Baez continued his torrid pace to begin the season, as he's now batting .333 with a 1.045 OPS and 23 runs scored. The Cubs' lineup can be awfully dynamic, and that should only help Baez produce elite counting stats the rest of the year.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 4-3 win over the Indians on Saturday.

Correa came through at the plate Saturday in a game in which the Astros registered only five hits. The 24-year-old is in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak in which he is 11-for-39 with four home runs.

Gordon is not in the lineup Saturday against Texas.

Gordon is hitting just .205 with one steal in his last 13 games. Dylan Moore will start at second base in his place.

Owings is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.

Kelvin Gutierrez will make his major-league debut Saturday, leaving Owings as the odd man out of the lineup. The 27-year-old has gone 1-for-19 in his last five games, scoring only once during that time. In Owings' absence, Whit Merrifield will shift to second base, batting in the leadoff spot.

Lindor is not starting Saturday against Houston, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Lindor started six straight games after returning from the injured list but will now get a day off. He hit .259 in those six games but already has three homers. Mike Freeman starts at shortstop in his absence.
