Diaz sits after making nine straight starts, a stretch in which he hit .310 with a .905 OPS. Yangervis Solarte will start at third base.

Gordon is not in the starting lineup versus San Diego on Wednesday, TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Gordon will head to the bench with left-hander Joey Lucchesi on the hill for the Padres. Robinson Cano will man second base while Guillermo Heredia draws a nod in the outfield.

Wendle went 2-for-4 with a double in a loss to the Indians on Tuesday.

Wendle mustered the only extra-base hit for the Rays on a night when their offense was stymied by Shane Bieber and a pair of relievers. The versatile 28-year-old is putting together a solid follow-up effort after an outstanding August (.330 average, 18 RBI), with Tuesday's production serving as his fourth multi-hit tally in nine September contests.

DeJong is out of the lineup against Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

DeJong will receive a breather following 15 straight games in the starting lineup. In his place, Yairo Munoz will start at shortstop and bat fifth. Look for DeJong to return to the lineup for Thursday's series opener versus the Dodgers.

Adames is not in the lineup versus the Indians on Wednesday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.

Adames will retreat to the bench following seven straight starts as Andrew Velazquez gets the nod at shortstop. On the year, Adames is slashing .263/.328/.390 with eight home runs, 25 RBI and six stolen bases.

Crawford went 2-for-4 with the Giants' lone RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Atlanta.

Crawford was dealing with a balky knee last week, but he has since started three consecutive contests. The 31-year-old has taken a step back in the RBI category (51 through 135 games), but he should get a last-ditch opportunity to pad his total while batting cleanup for a Giants lineup that is without several of its Opening Day starters.

Camargo (groin) is targeting a Friday return to action against the Nationals, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

He left Tuesday's game against the Giants with left groin tightness and will sit out Wednesday's game as well. The Braves have an off day Thursday, so the hope is that the two days off will be enough to get Camargo back in the lineup for this weekend's series. He said it felt more like a cramp than a strain, and is confident he will be ready to play Friday. Camargo is 10-for-41 with three home runs in 11 September games.

Mondesi went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.

Mondesi bunted in a run and stole his 21st bag of the year in Tuesday's contest, bringing his slash line to .270/.299/.449 in the process. The 23-year-old is hitting .296 with three home runs, eight RBI and five stolen bases over his last 15 games, and he's succeeded in 16 of his last 18 stolen-base attempts dating back to July 26.

Camargo left Tuesday's game against the Giants with left groin tightness, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Camargo pulled up while running to first base during the third inning and exited the game. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him at least out of the lineup Wednesday with a scheduled off day to follow Thursday.

Camargo exited Tuesday's game at San Francisco with an apparent groin injury, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Camargo pulled up during the third inning after he reached on an error and subsequently left the game. Charlie Culberson ran for Camargo and stayed in the game at third base for the Braves.
