Herrera went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Herrera drove in a pair in the third frame on a double to right field, handing the Royals an early 2-0 lead. He's recorded a base knock in seven of his past 10 tilts, going 10-for-38 with three extra-base hits and four RBI over that stretch. He has not homered in 39 appearances this season.

Gordon went 3-for-5 and recorded a stolen base in an extra-inning loss to the Angels on Friday. He was also caught stealing on another attempt.

The speedster fulfilled his leadoff role in trademark fashion, banging out multiple hits for the sixth time in July. Gordon has enjoyed an offensive breakout overall during the current month, as evidenced by a .333 average over 78 plate appearances. The 30-year-old has now coaxed his season average up 11 points to .291 since July 1, which represents its highest point since June 23.

Wendle went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run in a loss to the Orioles on Friday.

Wendle is wrapping up the best month of his season in fittingly strong fashion, as he's now 5-for-12 with a double, two walks and two runs over the last three games. The 28-year-old has also collected nine multi-hit efforts on his way to a .373 average for the month, a tear that's boosted his season figure 26 points to .286 since July 1.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the Cubs' 5-4 defeat to the Cardinals on Friday.

Baez got his 20th homer of the season with this sixth-inning blast off Luke Weaver as he continues his sterling 2018 campaign at the plate. He's been contributing across all categories, with 63 runs and 75 RBI to go along with what is currently a career-best .296/.327/.557 slash line. He's also chipped in 19 steals for good measure, leaving him just one shy of his first 20-20 season.

DeJong went 3-for-3 with a triple, a walk, three RBI and a run scored in the Cardinals' 5-2 victory over the Cubs on Friday.

DeJong had seen his average dip to .248 headed into this contest, but he was able to break out of his recent quiet spell by reaching base in all four of his at-bats against the Cubs, pumping his slash line up to .258/.335/.447 through 217 at-bats. That's still off the pace of last year's campaign when he logged an .857 OPS, but DeJong is capable of putting together lengthy hot streaks when he gets in a groove, so hopefully this three-hit effort is a sign he's gearing up for one.

Lindor went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

His two-run shot in the fifth inning got Cleveland on the board before he wrapped up the scoring with a solo blast in the ninth. Lindor now has 27 home runs on the year to go along with his .294/.369/.571 slash line, and he's easily on pace to top the career-high 33 he slugged last season.

Correa (back) hopes to embark on a minor-league rehabilitation assignment at some point next week after resuming baseball activities last weekend, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Correa was able to aggressively hit off a tee a couple times this week and is set to field ground balls prior to Houston's game against Texas on Saturday. The shortstop added that he's been running and participating in agility drills without any issues and that his back "feels great." He will likely need to compete in multiple games at the minor-league level before rejoining the Astros' roster, but this is obviously another step in the right direction.

Baez (upper leg) is starting at shortstop and hitting cleanup Friday against the Cardinals.

While Baez was out of the lineup Wednesday and Thursday, he appeared in each of those games off the bench, so the injury was never considered serious. Baez is one of just six players in MLB with 15-plus home runs and 15-plus steals, and is one home run and one steal away from tallying his first 20-20 campaign.

Correa (back) hit off a tee for a second consecutive day Wednesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Manager A.J. Hinch described Correa as "aggressively" hitting off a tee. The injured shortstop has slowly ramped up his baseball activities and will likely require a brief rehabilitation stint before returning to Houston's active roster.

Turner went 3-for-6 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Marlins.

Turner made waves for the wrong reasons earlier in the week after being benched for not running out a bunt attempt. However, he was dialed in Thursday, launching his 13th home run of the season and recording his first multi-hit game since July 6. Despite the strong performance, it is still concerning that Turner has not successfully stolen a base since June 29 while he's been caught on each of his last five attempts.
