Anderson is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Anderson will head to the bench for just the second time all season after starting five straight games and going just 3-for-18 (.167) over that stretch. Jose Rondon will start at shortstop and hit eighth in his stead.

Herrera was sent down to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Herrera was sent down to the minors and will be replaced by infielder Brandon Dixon. Herrera went 2-for-13 with five strikeouts over 11 games with Cincinnati.

Camargo is not starting Tuesday against the Phillies.

Camargo is reportedly the Braves' primary third baseman now that Jose Bautista has been released, but that doesn't mean he'll start every day. Ryan Flaherty will get the start Tuesday, while Austin Riley looms at Triple-A. Camargo will likely have to improve on his .209 batting average if he's to keep his job, though his 16:14 BB:K is certainly an encouraging sign.

Wendle was placed on the paternity list Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wendle with be away from the team for the next few days following the birth of his baby boy. The second baseman should be back with the Rays for their weekend series against the Orioles. Willy Adames was recalled from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding roster move.

Adames will be recalled from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes reports.

This is somewhat surprising, as the Rays were expected to delay his promotion to the majors until later in the season with the intent of pushing his arbitration eligibility as far as possible into the future. However, with Adeiny Hechavarria (hamstring) still in the treatment stage of his recovery and Adames showing he has little left to prove in the minors -- hitting .311/.387/.466 with four homers and three stolen bases in 40 games for the Bulls -- the Rays decided to summon their shortstop of the future. The 22-year-old should immediately take over as the team's shortstop and could eventually work his way to the top of the order thanks to his above-average hit tool.

Gordon was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a fractured right big toe.

Gordon originally injured his big toe against the Blue Jays earlier in the month, but was able to return after missing just one game. The speedster apparently re-injured the toe in Sunday's extra-innings win over the Tigers -- which is somewhat surprising given he stole a base and scored the winning run -- and will now require a stay on the DL to get over the issue. The severity of the injury, along with a possible timetable for his return, remains unclear at the moment, but this is yet another tough blow for the Mariners. Dan Vogelbach was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding roster move, while Gordon Beckham appears to be the most likely option to take over at second base in Gordon's absence.

Turner went 2-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Padres.

While he didn't join in the Nats' homer barrage Monday, Turner continues to sting the ball, hitting .303/.378/.667 over his last eight games with three doubles and three home runs. The 24-year-old is well on pace for career highs in all four volume roto categories this year if he can avoid the injury bug.

Adames is slashing .311/.387/.466 with 12 extra-base hits (five doubles, three triples, four home runs) and 25 RBI across 173 plate appearances for Triple-A Durham.

The dynamic prospect's batting average and on-base percentage are both career-best figures. Now having logged 751 plate appearances at the Triple-A level over the last season-plus, Adames appears big-league ready. However, as is common practice, the Rays are likely delaying a callup until later in the season with the intent of pushing Adames' arbitration eligibility as far as possible into the future, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports. That partly helps explain why the recent hamstring injury to Adeiny Hechavarria didn't immediately yield a promotion for Adames, but he certainly appears likely to make his highly-anticipated MLB debut sometime in 2018.

DeJong began rehabbing his hand Monday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

DeJong began what is being called minor rehab work after undergoing successful surgery on his fractured left hand over the weekend. It's still too early in his rehab for a timetable to be determined, but the procedure he underwent was done in order to expedite what would otherwise be an 8-to-12 week recovery. Jedd Gyorko and Greg Garcia have both seen reps at shortstop in his absence.

Crawford (forearm) fielded some grounders at extended spring training Monday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.

Crawford also did some throwing, and manager Gabe Kapler said it went well afterwards. While the 23-year-old has been getting in work at the Phillies' spring training facility recently, he remains without a timetable for his return. For now, Scott Kingery will continue to fill in at shortstop for Crawford, who has been sidelined since the end of April with a Grade 1 forearm strain.
