Anderson batted leadoff and went 2-for-5 with a double in Friday's 7-4 extra-inning win over the Royals.

Yoan Moncada is the primary leadoff bat for the White Sox, but he's been replaced atop the order the last three times when facing a left-handed starter, as was the case Friday against Kansas City's Danny Duffy. This was the third time Anderson's batted leadoff this season. He was the team's primary leadoff hitter to start the 2017 season, but his free-swinging ways eventually led to a drop to the seven hole, where he's been most often deployed this year. He's been a more patient hitter in 2018, striking out less frequently while taking an occasional walk along the way. He has seven free passes through 23 games after walking 13 times over 146 games in 2017.

Crawford went 1-for-3 with a walk and his second home run of the season in Friday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers.

Crawford teamed up with Evan Longoria to deliver solo shots off Hyun-Jin Ryu in the second inning. The 31-year-old has struggled to the tune of a .205/.259/.333 slash line through 23 games. His career-high 30.6 strikeout percentage is the main culprit of his early slump, as his .275 BABIP isn't that far off from his career norms. Crawford posted strikeout rates below 20 percent in each of the last two seasons, so expect the veteran to make the necessary mechanical adjustments to right the ship eventually.

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a home run and a double in Friday's win over the Mariners.

Lindor led off the bottom of the first with a home run, his fourth of the season. He also collected his sixth double of the year in addition to a single. The three-hit night brings his season average to .235, which is well below his career mark of .290. The young shortstop's hit totals are behind expectations, but he is running and scoring at a decent rate, with five stolen bases and 15 runs scored in 24 games.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a double in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

Bogaerts was fresh off the disabled list, playing his first game since recovering from a cracked bone in his left ankle. At the time of his injury, he was one of the hottest hitters in baseball and that continued Friday after he missed 16 games. Bogaerts has six multi-hit games out of 10 played thus far.

Gordon expects to play against the Indians on Saturday after being removed from Friday's game for precautionary reasons with a minor knee issue, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon's knee slightly buckled as he prepared to attempt a jumping catch on the warning track, leading him to collide with the wall. The 30-year-old briefly remained in the game before being removed an inning later, but appears slated to be ready for Saturday's game in Cleveland.

Gordon exited Friday's game against the Indians for precautionary reasons following a collision with the outfield wall, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon crashed into the fence in the sixth inning and remained in the game briefly before being replaced in the seventh by Austin Romine. The specification of it being a precautionary move is clearly a good sign, but the Mariners' center fielder should still be considered day-to-day for now.

Seager (hip) is available off the bench Friday and expects to play in Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Manager Dave Roberts also said Seager could play both games of the Saturday's doubleheader, indicating that being held out of Friday's lineup was a precautionary move. The 24-year-old tweaked his hip Wednesday but appears ready for a return to the field for the Dodgers.

Seager (hip) is not in the lineup Friday against the Giants, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Seager tweaked his hip in Wednesday's contest, though it seemed like he was back to full health after undergoing soft-tissue therapy after the game. Regardless, he'll get another night off to rest, allowing Enrique Hernandez to pick up a start at shortstop.

Wendle is not in the lineup Friday against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wendle and Daniel Robertson have taken part in a platoon at second base this season, with Wendle starting against every right-hander and Robertson facing every lefty. With Drew Pomeranz on the mound Friday, Roberston will get the nod. Wendle is off to a scorching start with the bat through his first 74 plate appearances, hitting .338/.405/.508, though once his .420 BABIP comes down to earth his numbers will likely look considerably less impressive.

Bogaerts (ankle) was activated from the disabled list Friday.

Bogaerts was on a tear to start the season, hitting .368/.400/.711 through nine games, before being derailed by a small crack in his ankle bone. He's back in the lineup Friday, hitting in his usual fifth spot. Brock Holt was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain to clear a roster spot for Bogaerts.
