Owings went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 12-inning win over the Mets.

Owings, who played primarily in center earlier this season, is getting regular playing time at shortstop with Nick Ahmed on the DL. He's not an elite option by any means, but Owings offers a solid batting average and a little speed, which puts him on the fantasy radar.

Noonan will make his debut for the Padres on Thursday against the Pirates, starting at shortstop and hitting seventh.

He was summoned from Triple-A on Wednesday with the expectation that he would see the bulk of the starts at shortstop for the Padres over the rest of the season. The 32nd overall pick in 2007, Noonan's career has not gone as he would have hoped, with just 135 career plate appearances in the big leagues. Noonan's Triple-A numbers were impressive, slashing .321/.353/.445 with four home runs in 87 games, but as a 27-year-old in the Pacific Coast League, it's hard to take those numbers at face value. He will get his chance to make a name for himself down the stretch with the Padres it seems, but for now he is best reserved for NL-only leagues and deep mixers.

X-rays on Seager's bruised wrist came back negative Wednesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

Seager went 2-for-3 for his third straight multi-hit game Wednesday, but suffered a minor bone bruise in the process. The Dodgers have an off day Thursday, which will give him some extra time to rest. However, he will still be considered day-to-day going forward.

Seager (wrist) has a minor bone bruise and will get X-rays as a precaution, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Seager is not expected to miss any time as of this moment, and this comes at a good time with the Dodgers having an off day Thursday. During Wednesday's contest, Seager went 2-for-3, marking his third consecutive multi-hit game. He has been tearing it up throughout the season, and will be considered day-to-day until more information comes out.

Sardinas was designated for assignment Wednesday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

Sardinas disappointed with the big club this season, managing to scrape together a batting average of just .181. While he's a versatile defender and his .252/.295/.276 line at Triple-A Tacoma is better than his dismal showing in the majors, it still wasn't enough to maintain a spot on the 40-man roster.

Crawford went 2-for-4 and provided all the game's offense with a solo shot to beat the Marlins 1-0 on Wednesday.

After tying the NL record with seven hits in Monday's 14-inning game, the shortstop added two more on Wednesday and finished the series 9-for-16. Crawford's fourth-inning blast was his 11th of the season and boosted his RBI total to 71 for the year, third-most among shortstops behind only the Rockies' Trevor Story (72) and the Astros' Carlos Correa (74).

Noonan, whose contract was selected from Triple-A on Wednesday, is expected to get the bulk of the playing time at shortstop for the Padres going forward, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell reports.

The Padres have been pretty obvious in their attempts to phase Alexei Ramirez out of regular playing time in an effort to get a look at their younger players, so this makes sense. Noonan, 27, was hitting .321/.353/.445 with four home runs at Triple-A, but he is not a prospect, and is on his third organization while only having 135 career plate appearances in the big leagues under his belt. That said, the fact that he qualifies at shortstop and is in line for regular at-bats makes him interesting in NL-only formats.

Bogaerts will rejoin the lineup Wednesday and bat second against the Yankees, Sean McAdam of CSNNE reports.

After getting a rare day off Tuesday, Bogaerts rejoins the Red Sox's lineup Wednesday, but he won't be hitting out of his usual spot in the order. He'll be batting second in the lineup for just the sixth time this season as manager John Farrell attempts to jump start a suddenly sputtering offense that checks in with the fifth-worst wOBA over the last two weeks at .290. Bogaerts himself had struggled a bit prior to his day off Tuesday, collecting just four hits in his last 24 at-bats.

Correa homered and knocked in four runs in a 2-for-4 game in Tuesday's win over the Twins.

Correa matched his RBI high for the season, tying his June 28 performance against the Angels in which he went 3-for-4 with a double and a homer. The performance pushed him to 74 RBI on the season, which puts him two ahead of Colorado's Trevor Story for the major league lead at the shortstop position.
