Owings is out of the lineup Tuesday due to foot discomfort, Jack Magruder of FanRag Sports reports.

According to manager Chip Hale, Owings has shown "the possibility" of plantar fasciitis, and if that is indeed the injury, it's something Owings would have to manage the rest of the season. Nick Ahmed is starting at shortstop Tuesday for a second straight day.

Story hit a three-run homer, his 16th, in a 1-for-4 game in Monday's win over the Dodgers.

Story has a six-game hitting streak now and continues to be the league's biggest power threat at the shortstop position. His 16 home runs gives him one more than Manny Machado for the major league shortstop lead and two more than Corey Seager among National Leaguers. Story has continued to produce despite striking out in nearly a third of his plate appearances, and while that will limit his batting average (now .262), his ridiculous power production is more than making up for it.

Turner was optioned back to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday following Ryan Zimmerman's reinstatement from the paternity list, CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.

The young infielder started just one game over the weekend while Zimmerman was away from the team. Turner's time will come, but if the Nats are waiting for his Super-2 status to elapse, he may not rejoin the big league roster on a permanent basis for another few weeks yet.

Turner was optioned back to Triple-A Syracuse Monday, Chase Hughes of CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.

The 22-year-old impressed in his 2016 debut, batting 3-for-3 with a double in the team's loss to the Reds last Friday, but he will now return to the minors as a result of Ryan Zimmerman returning from paternity leave. He will look to have continued success in the minors until another potential promotion from manager Dusty Baker.

Lindor went 2-for-3 with his sixth home run of the season and three RBI in Sunday's win over the Royals.

It's his second homer in as many games, and Lindor has kicked off the month of June by hitting .333 with five extra-base hits, seven RBI and five runs scored in five games. The 22-year-old shortstop continues to emerge as one of the top fantasy options at his position.

Seager went 3-for-5 with two home runs with a career-high four RBI in Sunday's 12-6 win over the Braves.

The left-hand-hitting shortstop set a couple of career marks in the weekend series against the league's worst team. On Friday, Seager had his first three-homer game, and Sunday he drove home more runs than he ever had before. His fine weekend pushed his slash line to .286/.341/.533 while upping his RBI total to 39 on the year.

Ahmed is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs.

The light-hitting Ahmed will get a regular day off after starting three straight, allowing Chris Owings to take over at shortstop, effectively opening up a spot for Michael Bourn in center field. Ahmed is hitless in his last 12 plate appearances, so the timing was right to make a switch in an effort to inject some offense into a lineup that will be facing ace Jake Arrieta on Sunday afternoon.

Correa went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning victory over the A's.

The young shortstop, who is starting to come on at the plate, was the hero Saturday after singling in George Springer with the winning run in the 12th inning. The 21-year-old now has his average up to .267 on the strength of a seven-game hitting streak, and curiously has all three of his triples on the season over the first four games of June. Correa also has four multi-hit outings over his last six contests.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-4 victory over the Blue Jays.

One day after seeing his 26-game hitting streak snapped, Bogaerts was right back at it with his fourth multi-hit effort in the last seven games. After generating a .395 average in May, the 23-year-old standout has picked up right where he left off and is now slashing .353/.421/.412 in his first four games of June.

O'Malley is starting in center field and leading off Saturday against the Rangers.

He hasn't produced since joining the big league club, but he's an intriguing bargain play in daily leagues Saturday, due to the fact he's leading off and facing a lefty (Martin Perez). Nori Aoki should continue to start in center field most days while Leonys Martin (hamstring) is out.
