Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Going through full workout Friday
Lindor (back) will attempt to go through a full slate of baseball activities before Friday's game, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Lindor is not in Friday's lineup versus the Phillies, as he will miss a fifth straight start with his back injury. However, if he comes out of Friday's pregame workout well, he will have a shot to be back in the Mets' lineup Saturday. Lindor has started just one out of the team's last seven contests after tweaking his back one week ago.

Matt McLain SS | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Will play in instructional league
McLain (shoulder/rib) will play in instructional league games this fall, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
McLain has missed the entire 2024 campaign following shoulder surgery and later a stress reaction in his rib cage, so he will get into some game action this fall to make up for lost time. Barring any setbacks, he should enter spring training with a clean bill of health.

Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Multi-hit day in loss
De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Thursday's 15-3 loss to Atlanta.
De La Cruz's seventh-inning single plated the Reds' third run, but the game was well out of hand by then. C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Four hits, two steals in loss
Abrams went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Thursday's loss to the Cubs.
Abrams singled to lead off the contest before going on to steal second and third, and eventually coming around to score on a knock from Andres Chaparro. The shortstop would also add two doubles before finishing the contest with his first four-hit performance of the season. Abrams has now hit safely in five straight games, posting multiple hits three times over that stretch. His two stolen bases Thursday also put him over the 30-steal mark for the second straight season in his young and promising career.

Phillies' Trea Turner: Slugs 19th homer in loss
Turner went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Mets.

It marked the shortstop's 19th home run on the campaign and his fourth in September, and he's slashing .290/.338/.507 with 10 RBI and 11 runs scored on the month. The 23-year-old is hitting .338 (22-for-65) over 16 contests this month, with nine of his knocks going for extra bases. His rebound at the plate has coincided with him once again being atop the Orioles' lineup. Henderson is at a .282/.365/.537 slash line with 37 home runs, 87 RBI, 114 runs scored, 28 doubles and seven triples over a career-high 151 contests.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Big effort in Thursday's win
Swanson went 3-for-4 with four runs scored in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Nationals.
The four runs in a game are easily a season high for Swanson, as his previous best was two runs, which he did on several occasions. The shortstop has been solid this month with a .319 batting average, three home runs, 10 RBI and 19 runs scored through 17 games. Swanson should continue to see regular playing time as the Cubs try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
