  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Powers offense in win

Seager went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.

Seager missed nearly a week due to left hamstring soreness, and he played in a non-defensive capacity as the designated hitter Wednesday. He delivered the biggest hit of the game, a fifth-inning blast that accounted for all of the Rangers' runs. Prior to his absence, Seager had hit safely in 17 of his previous 18 games, batting .354 and slugging .800 in that span. He's up to a .271/.362/.484 slash line with 14 homers, 33 RBI, 30 runs scored and no stolen bases through 58 contests overall. Getting Seager's bat back in the lineup is a big boost to a Texas offense that has been limited to three runs or fewer in six of 10 games in June.

  • Zachary Neto SS | LAA

Angels' Zach Neto: Three hits in win

Neto went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, one additional RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Neto hit a solo shot in the second inning and an RBI double in the sixth for his second multi-hit effort in June. The shortstop has gone 8-for-35 (.229) this month, though five of those hits have gone for extra bases, and he's added eight RBI over 10 contests. For the season, he's at a .250/.300/.424 slash line with eight homers, 26 RBI, 24 runs scored, eight stolen bases and 15 doubles through 240 plate appearances.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Goes deep Wednesday

Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs in a 10-4 victory versus Miami on Wednesday.

Lindor opened the bottom of the first inning with a double and subsequently scored on Harrison Bader's home run. The shortstop hit a long ball of his own in the eighth frame, going 414 feet to center field. Lindor has disappointed a bit this season after notching his first 30-30 campaign last year, though with 11 homers and nine steals he's one theft away from reaching double digits in both categories -- something only seven MLB players have done so far this season.

  • David Hamilton SS | MIL

Red Sox's David Hamilton: Homer, two hits in win

Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

Hamilton singled and came around to score in the fifth inning then hit a two-run homer off Spencer Turnbull in the sixth. Hamilton has been on fire in June, notching his fourth straight multi-hit effort and hitting .333 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 10 games. Injuries have paved the way for Hamilton to receive regular playing time, but he has earned it by hitting .296 with four homers, 10 RBI and 13 steals over 135 plate appearances.

  • Eddys Leonard SS | MIL

Tigers' Eddys Leonard: Back in action for Toledo

Leonard (oblique) was reinstated from Triple-A Toledo's 7-day injured list June 4 and has gone 3-for-18 with a double, two walks, an RBI and a run scored in five games since rejoining the club.

Leonard had resided on the shelf at Toledo since early April with a left oblique strain. Before being activated, Leonard made eight rehab appearances with Single-A Lakeland and went 5-for-22 with a double and two stolen bases.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Diamondbacks' Kevin Newman: Moving into reserve role

Newman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

He'll sit for the second day in a row and looks set to see a steep reduction in playing time moving forward after the Diamondbacks brought back top shortstop Geraldo Perdomo from the injured list Tuesday. Newman joined the Diamondbacks in the second week of the season following Perdomo's placement on the IL and hit .266 with two home runs and two stolen bases over 49 games.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Twins' Carlos Correa: Records five hits

Correa went 5-for-6 with three runs scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 17-9 win over the Rockies.

Correa's first career five-hit game is the highlight of what's been a stellar run at the plate -- he's now 15-for-29 (.517) with a double and a home run over his last seven contests. The 29-year-old Correa is now slashing .290/.356/.459 with five homers, 28 RBI and 28 runs scored across 208 plate appearances this season.

  • Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Larger role at hot corner

Alexander is starting at third base Wednesday against the Angels, and Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said the utility infielder will see more opportunities at the position going forward, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Eugenio Suarez has worked as Arizona's everyday third baseman through the first two-plus months of the campaign, but he's struggled to a .575 OPS in 262 plate appearances. Wednesday's start is just Alexander's third at the hot corner this season, and his .279/.345/.403 slash line could be enough for him to seize a regular role. Lovullo wasn't clear how playing time will be split, but Suarez seems likely to still see at least fairly regular action.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Back in lineup

Seager (hamstring) will serve as Texas' designated hitter and bat second Wednesday versus the Dodgers.

Seager hasn't played since he left last Wednesday's game against the Tigers due to a sore left hamstring, but he has now been given the green light to return to the lineup in a non-defensive role. The 30-year-old shortstop has tallied at least one base hit in 17 of his last 18 games and is slashing .354/.462/.800 with nine home runs and 15 RBI in that span.

  • Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM

Marlins' Vidal Brujan: Returning to bench role

Brujan is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Brujan closed the weekend with four straight starts in the infield, but the latter three came while both Tim Anderson and Otto Lopez were away from the team. Anderson has since been reinstated from the bereavement list and Lopez has come off the paternity list, so Brujan should settle back into a utility role for Miami.
