Austin Martin SS | MIN
Twins' Austin Martin: Gets first career start
Martin is in the lineup Sunday against the Twins for his first career start.
Martin was promoted from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday after Royce Lewis (leg) landed on the IL. In his first call-up to the majors, he is starting in center field and batting ninth. With the 24-year-old taking center field Sunday, Byron Buxton will be the designated hitter.

Pablo Reyes RF | SD
Red Sox's Pablo Reyes: Fills in at third base
Reyes started at third base and went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to Seattle.
Reyes started in place of Rafael Devers (shoulder), who is expected to return Sunday after missing two games. Bobby Dalbec filled in at the hot corner Friday. Reyes has appeared in all three games thus far and is the likely starter at second base when a left-hander is on the mound. That should be the case until Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) is ready to return.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Four hits in win
Seager went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Cubs.
Seager was one of five Texas batters to log multiple hits in the contest. He has hits in both games thus far after being limited to eight plate appearances during spring training due to a groin injury.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Hits first 2024 home run
Swanson went 1-for-2 with a walk and a two-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.
Swanson's second-inning blast, his first of the year, ended up being Chicago's only offense in an 11-2 blowout loss. The shortstop has hit 20 or more long balls in each of the last three seasons, and he should be able to reach that plateau again in 2024 assuming he stays healthy. Swanson remains a strong fantasy asset in the middle infield.

Gabriel Arias SS | CLE
Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Produces in first start
Arias went 2-for-5 with two RBI, two runs and a stolen base during Saturday's 12-3 win against the A's.
The 24-year-old made his first start of the season Saturday and took advantage of the opportunity with a multi-hit game, which he did just 15 times in 88 starts last season. Arias is working in a utility role to begin 2024 after Brayan Rocchio won the starting shortstop job during spring training.

Mookie Betts RF | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Remains scorching hot
Betts went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, two walks and three total runs in Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.
Betts is on an absolute heater to begin the campaign, as he's homered in four straight contests and has reached base an absurd 18 times through 25 plate appearances. His long ball Saturday came in the clutch, pulling the Dodgers to within one run in the ninth inning against Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley. Betts is already paying huge dividends for fantasy managers who made a big investment in him in fantasy drafts -- he leads all players in homers (four), RBI (10) and walks (seven) while posting an astronomical 2.109 OPS through the Dodgers' first five games.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Runs wild with three steals
Abrams went 1-for-2 with a triple, three walks, three runs scored and three stolen bases in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Reds.
After an 0-for-4, two-strikeout showing in his 2024 debut, Abrams was a menace in the second game of the series. The 23-year-old notched a couple steals against Reds starter Hunter Greene and added another against Cincinnati's closer, Alexis Diaz. Abrams was only caught four times in 51 attempts last year, and the Reds didn't make it particularly close on any of his three steal attempts Saturday.

Masyn Winn SS | STL
Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Gets Saturday off
Winn isn't in the Cardinals' lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
Winn went 2-for-3 and came around to score during Friday's 6-3 defeat, and he'll begin Saturday's contest in the dugout. Brandon Crawford will pick up a start at shortstop and bat eighth while Winn rests.

Pablo Reyes RF | SD
Red Sox's Pablo Reyes: Appears in first two games
Reyes went 1-for-2 as a pinch hitter and second baseman in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Mariners.
Reyes pinch hit for second baseman Enmanuel Valdez against a left-hander in the seventh inning and ripped a sinker down and away to right field for a single. It marked the second straight game Reyes pinch hit for Valdez against a lefty and went on to finish the game at second. While Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) is sidelined, it looks like a strict platoon at second, where Valdez starts against righties and Reyes against lefties. The Red Sox face righty Logan Gilbert on Saturday.

Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Sitting Saturday vs. righty
Duran is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.
Duran got the start at first base for the season opener Thursday against lefty Justin Steele (hamstring) and finished 1-for-3 with two strikeouts. With the Cubs starting right-hander Kyle Hendricks on Saturday, Jared Walsh will play first base and bat seventh.
