Alexander (undisclosed) exited Sunday's matchup with the Giants in the bottom of the fifth inning, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Alexander was replaced at shortstop in the bottom of the fifth frame, exiting the game after going 0-for-2 from the plate Sunday. It's unclear why the 24-year-old was removed from the contest and more information will likely be provided in the near future. Kevin Newman replaced Alexander at shortstop, batting ninth against San Francisco.

The Angels selected Adrianza's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

The 34-year-old joined the Halos on a minor-league deal in February and has joined the big club with Anthony Rendon (hamstring) headed to the injured list. Adrianza made just five appearances with Atlanta last season but got off to a hot start at Salt Lake in 2024 with a .992 OPS in 53 plate appearances.

Grissom (hamstring) played second base for the first time Friday while on his rehab assignment, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports. He went 1-for-3 with a double and made a nice backhand play on a ball hit up the middle.

Grissom, who began his assignment April 12, served as the designated hitter for three games before moving to the field Friday. He followed up in the field for a second consecutive day Saturday. Grissom is trending in the right direction, but the Red Sox are not going to rush him. He's learning a new position, and manager Alex Cora wants him to build up reps at second base.

DeJong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Philadelphia.

DeJong exited Saturday's contest after being hit by a pitch in the left arm and will be held out of the lineup for at least one game. Nicky Lopez will take over at shortstop for Sunday's series finale.

De La Cruz walked in all four of his plate appearances Saturday in a win over the Angels. He recorded an RBI and a run scored.

A day after De La Cruz showed off his electric tools with a homer and three steals, he showcased his improving eye at the dish. The shortstop set a career high in walks, though he was also caught stealing for the third time this season. Nonetheless, De La Cruz seems to be closing the holes in his game while flashing No. 1 overall fantasy upside. He's up to a 1.033 OPS with six homers and 10 steals through 20 games this season.

Caballero went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base Saturday against the Yankees.

Caballero continues to impress as the Rays' primary shortstop, as he now has at least one hit in four of his last five games while hitting .288 for the season. Though he doesn't offer much in terms of power, Caballero has been very aggressive on the basepaths with seven stolen bases on the season while being caught three times. With Taylor Walls out until at least late May, Caballero has a clear runway for consistent playing time.

Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base Saturday against the Red Sox.

Cruz also struck out twice, and he has now punched out multiple times in eight of his last 10 starts. He's hit .095 in that span, though he did manage to chip his second stolen base of the season Saturday. As a result of his struggles, Cruz dropped to eighth in the lineup after exclusively batting as the team's leadoff hitter against right-handed pitching through the first 11 matchups of the campaign.

Abrams went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Astros.

The shortstop led off the bottom of the first inning by launching Ronel Blanco's first pitch of the afternoon over the fence in right field. Abrams is up to six homers on the season, including three in the last five contests, and Saturday's performance extended his hitting streak to seven games -- a stretch in which he's batting .345 (10-for-29) with a stunning .931 SLG, as nine of the hits (four doubles, two triples, three home runs) have gone for extra bases.

Pena went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Nationals.

The shortstop stole his second bag in as many games as he continued his recent hot streak. Pena has six multi-hit performances in the last 11 games, batting .383 (18-for-47) over that stretch, and the surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .356/.385/.483 with two homers, four steals, 10 RBI and 11 runs.

Betts went 1-for-2 with three walks, a double, a run scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Mets.

The 31-year-old was excellent once again out of the leadoff spot, but the rest of the Dodgers' order had trouble bringing him around to score. Betts has failed to get on base only twice in 23 games to begin the season, and he boasts a .356/.473/.644 slash line with six homers, five steals, 18 RBI and an MLB-leading 23 runs.
