Rosario is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rosario will hit the bench after he started each of the last four games -- three in right field, one at shortstop -- while going 2-for-15 with a double, a walk and an RBI. The righty-hitting Rosario should be a mainstay in the lineup versus left-handed pitching, but he'll occasionally mix into the starting nine against righties, too. Two of his four starts to date have come versus right-handed pitching.

DeJong went 1-for-2 with a solo home run Tuesday against Atlanta.

DeJong began Tuesday's game on the bench, with Braden Shewmake instead getting the start at shortstop. DeJong has now been out of the lineup for two of the White Sox's first five games and has also struck out seven times in 11 plate appearances. He has also mixed in two homers, but Shewmake has the potential to continue cutting into his playing time.

Story went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 win over Oakland.

Story doubled in Boston's first run in the first inning then singled in the game-tying run in the seventh. After a slow start, going 1-for-13 through the season's first three games, Story's bat has come alive. He's hit in three straight (6-for-13) with three doubles and four RBI.

Duran entered Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Tampa Bay as a pinch hitter and stayed in the game at third base. He went 0-for-1 with a walk.

Duran pinch hit for Josh Smith, who had started at third base in place of the injured Josh Jung (thumb). The lefty-batting Smith started against a right-hander, while Duran cane into the game once a left-handed reliever entered for the Rays. While those two could form a platoon as Jung rehabs for at least the next six weeks, Justin Foscue could get opportunities there, too. Foscue was called up Tuesday and played 35 games at the hot corner while at Triple-A Round Rock in 2023.

Smith started at third base and went 1-for-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Rays.

Smith made the first start at third base following the wrist injury suffered by Josh Jung during Monday's contest. Jung underwent surgery and is estimated to be out at least six weeks. With righty Zach Eflin on the mound for Tampa Bay, manager Bruce Bochy had the lefty-hitting Smith open the game, but the manager later had Ezequiel Duran pinch hit against lefty reliever Colin Poche and finish the game at third base. That suggests a platoon may be in the offing while Jung rehabs; however, Justin Foscue could enter the mix. He was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday and played 35 games at third base in 2023.

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Yankees.

It's been a quiet start for Perdomo, who is 6-for-20 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored through six games. Not bad, but nothing eye-popping. After batting .195 during his rookie season in 2022, the shortstop adjusted to the grind of MLB in 2023 (.246 AVG, .712 OPS), and Perdomo looks to continue that trajectory this season.

Alexander went 2-for-3 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Yankees.

Batting out of the two-hole versus Nestor Cortes on Tuesday, Alexander got the scoring started, driving in Ketel Marte with a base hit in the second inning. He'd proceed to steal second, his first major-league stolen base, before coming around to score on a Eugenio Suarez single. The 24-year-old Alexander has been solid off the bench to start his rookie campaign, going 4-for-10 with a pair of RBI. He slashed .291/.408/.457 with eight home runs and two stolen bases in 73 games with Triple-A Reno last year.

Bichette (neck) will be back in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Houston, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Bichette sat out the previous two contests with neck tightness, which he said made it difficult to turn and face the pitcher. However, the shortstop is feeling much better and is ready to give it a go Tuesday. Bichette is 2-for-12 with two RBI in his first three contests this season.

Baez is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Mets.

Baez had started each of he Tigers' first four contests, going 3-for-16 with a 6:0 K:BB. Zach McKinstry will fill in at shortstop Tuesday and bat ninth.

DeJong is absent from Tuesday's lineup versus Atlanta.

DeJong is 1-for-9 with seven strikeouts on the young season, although that one hit was a home run. Braden Shewmake will fill in for DeJong at shortstop Tuesday.
