Tommy Edman LF | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Exits after outfield collision
Edman was removed from Thursday's game against the Dodgers due to lower abdomen soreness, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Edman collided with Lars Nootbaar early in Thursday's game as the pair converged in the outfield to catch a flyball. He remained in the game briefly but was pulled before his next at-bat in favor of Juan Yepez. It's unclear how serious the issue may be, though the initial diagnosis doesn't suggest it's particularly serious.

Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA
Braves' Ehire Adrianza: On track for weekend return
Adrianza (elbow) appears on track to be activated from the injured list this weekend, Grant McAuley of 929 The Game reports.
Braden Shewmake was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, during a scheduled off day for Atlanta, and it looks like Adrianza's activation could be the corresponding move Friday. Out since May 5 due to right elbow inflammation, the veteran utility infielder has gone 5-for-14 (.357) with four RBI through four rehab games at High-A Rome.

Braves' Braden Shewmake: Optioned back to Triple-A
Atlanta optioned Shewmake to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Shewmake appeared in only two games during his nearly two-week stay on the major-league roster and went 0-for-4 with no walks and one strikeout. The 25-year-old infielder will return to the Triple-A level to get regular playing time. He's tallied five homers and nine stolen bases in 24 games this season with Gwinnett.

Tommy Edman LF | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Adds another steal
Edman went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Brewers.
Edman hit a two-out single and stole second in the second inning, but the Cardinals couldn't bring him home. He's been quite productive of late, hitting safely in six of his last seven games while batting .440 (11-for-25) with three steals, a home run and three RBI in that span. With Tyler O'Neill (back) and Dylan Carlson (ankle) both out, Edman has started the last two games in right field. Nolan Gorman and Paul DeJong have found success as the middle-infield duo lately, so it's possible Edman's best path to playing time may be in the outfield for the near future.

Wander Franco SS | TB
Rays' Wander Franco: Nabs two steals Wednesday
Franco went 0-for-3 with a pair of walks and thefts in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.
Franco didn't get a hit in the contest, but he took advantage of a pair of walks by swiping second base after each one. The shortstop has racked up seven thefts over his past 10 games, and he hasn't been caught attempting to steal over that span. On the season, Franco's 14 stolen bases are tied for third-most in the majors.

Pablo Reyes RF | SD
Red Sox's Pablo Reyes: Plates four runs in rout
Reyes went 2-for-5 with two doubles, one run and four RBI in a 12-3 victory against the Mariners on Wednesday.
Reyes knocked in two runs with a double in the first inning and added another two-run two-bagger in the following frame. He's now collected at least one hit in all five of the games in which he's played since getting called up from the minors May 13. Reyes has collected multiple hits in three of those five contests, leading to an impressive .421/.450/.579 slash line through 20 plate appearances.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Swipes bag Wednesday
Anderson went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Guardians.
Anderson has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, going 11-for-44 (.250) with no extra-base hits in that span. The RBI was his first since May 3, and his last steal came April 8, before he spent three weeks on the injured list. The shortstop is slashing .264/.304/.311 with six steals, six RBI, 13 runs scored, no home runs and five doubles through 25 contests.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Adds RBI in return
Seager (hamstring/illness) went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Atlanta.
Seager wasn't able to log a hit in his return from a month-long absence, but he was able to drive in the Rangers' last run in the contest. The 29-year-old was the designated hitter Wednesday, but he shouldn't be too far away from resuming his role as the starting shortstop. Ezequiel Duran filled in nicely during Seager's absence but will likely have to move to third base or designated hitter to maintain an everyday role going forward. Seager is slashing .333/.434/.500 with a home run, five RBI, seven runs scored and no stolen bases through 12 games.
