  • Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL

    Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Activated Friday

Tovar (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Friday's game against the Twins.

Tovar, who also missed time with a hip injury earlier this year, hit .120 with zero extra-base hits, zero walks and six strikeouts in six rehab games in the Pacific Coast League. While he struggled on his rehab assignment and hasn't gotten going at the plate in the majors either (.708 OPS, three homers in 32 games), Tovar is set for three games in Coors Field this weekend, so he's a solid option in most formats.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Back in action Friday

Abrams (shoulder) is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Friday against the Padres, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

The 24-year-old was scratched from the lineup for the final game of the first half last Sunday due to shoulder soreness, but he's good to go coming out of the All-Star break. Through 82 games this season, Abrams is on pace for a career campaign with 12 homers, 20 steals and a .287/.353/.483 slash line.

  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

Rays' Ha-Seong Kim: Returns to lineup

Kim (foot) is batting eighth and playing shortstop Friday against Baltimore.

Kim fouled a ball off his left foot Sunday and was removed from the contest. However, X-rays came back clean, and he's been cleared to play in Tampa Bay's first game post-All-Star break. He's 5-for-22 (.227) in 2025.

  • Cam Devanney 3B | PIT

Pirates' Cam Devanney: Reporting to Triple-A with new club

The Pirates optioned Devanney to Triple-A Indianapolis after acquiring him from the Royals on Wednesday in exchange for infielder/outfielder Adam Frazier.

Though Frazier's departure clears a spot on the 26-man active roster, the Pirates are instead expected to call up another player from the minors to fill the vacancy ahead of Friday's game against the White Sox. In the meantime, Devanney should receive regular playing time at Indianapolis, and his ability to play every infield position as well as the corner outfield should earn him a look with the big club before long. After the Royals called him up from Triple-A Omaha on July 8, Devanney didn't make his MLB debut last week before he was dealt to the Pirates. The 28-year-old produced at a high level for Omaha, slashing .272/.366/.565 with 18 home runs and three stolen bases across 288 plate appearances.

  • Cam Devanney 3B | PIT

Pirates' Cam Devanney: Dealt to Pirates

The Pirates acquired Devanney from the Royals on Wednesday in exchange for Adam Frazier, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Devanney had received his first major-league promotion on July 8 but had yet to see any game action for the Royals. The 28-year-old slashed .272/.366/.565 with 18 home runs this season with Triple-A Omaha, and he offers the ability to play every infield position and also left field. The right-handed-hitting Devanney could get some looks against left-handed pitching in Pittsburgh.

  • Pirates' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Four hits in Sunday's win

Kiner-Falefa went 4-for-4 on Sunday against the Twins.

Kiner-Falefa singled in all four of his plate appearances Sunday, marking his first multi-hit effort in his last 12 starts. He still has a .274 average for the season, though his production has otherwise been empty -- he has just one home run, 23 RBI and 26 runs scored in 83 games.

  • Zack Short SS | HOU

Astros' Zack Short: First MLB homer since 2023

Short went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 5-1 loss to Texas.

Short notched his first long ball with the Astros in his 10th game with the team, tagging Nathan Eovaldi for a solo shot in the sixth inning. The round tripper was Short's first in the big leagues since 2023, as he went homerless in 88 plate appearances with three different teams during 2024. He's slashing .286/.348/.524 since being called up July 2.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Gets aboard four times in loss

Bogaerts went 2-for-2 with two walks and two stolen bases in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Phillies.

Bogaerts hadn't stolen a base since June 9 versus the Dodgers, and he hadn't attempted a steal since June 20 against the Royals. The All-Star break comes at a poor time for the shortstop, who is batting .385 (20-for-52) over his last 15 games after a fairly pedestrian first three months of the campaign. He's now at a .266/.344/.369 slash line with 15 steals, five home runs, 31 RBI and 39 runs scored over 94 contests.

  • Zachary Neto SS | LAA

Angels' Zach Neto: Records steal in loss

Neto went 1-for-2 with two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Neto enters the All-Star break hot -- he's 17-for-47 (.362) with six extra-base hits and four steals over his last 11 games. The shortstop has had a bit of a breakout this season, posting a .279/.326/.492 slash line over 77 contests after dealing with a couple of right shoulder injuries during the first half. He's added 15 homers, 33 RBI, 61 runs scored, 18 doubles, one triple and 17 steals, offering an enticing blend of power and speed for a middle infielder.

  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

    Rays' Ha-Seong Kim: X-rays clean

Rays manager Kevin Cash said after Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Red Sox that X-rays on Kim's left foot came back clean, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports. Kim went hitless in three at-bats during the contest.

In his seventh-inning plate appearance, Kim fouled a ball off his foot before ultimately striking out. He was then lifted from the game in the bottom of the inning, with Taylor Walls shifting over from second base to cover Kim's spot at shortstop. The Rays are viewing the infielder as day-to-day, and the hope is that he'll be ready to return to the lineup Friday against the Orioles in the team's first game out of the All-Star break.
