Crawford is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Phillies.

Crawford returned from his left calf strain over the weekend, but the Giants will ride with hot-hitting youngster Casey Schmitt at shortstop Tuesday. J.D. Davis is at third base and Thairo Estrada is playing second.

Cheng has a .262/.382/.524 slash line with four home runs, nine steals and an 18.5 percent strikeout rate in 29 games for High-A Greensboro.

The 5-foot-7 infielder has split time evenly at shortstop and second base for the Grasshoppers, and his likely long-term home is the keystone. Cheng's command of the strike zone has been impeccable dating back to 2021 when he was in complex ball, but this power output is unexpected for the 21-year-old. He has the highest pull (46.9 percent) and flyball (37.2 percent) rates of his career.

Seager (hamstring) won't be activated before Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Seager is closing in on a return to the lineup for the Rangers from his left hamstring strain, but the shortstop will miss at least one more game. Ezequiel Duran gets the start at shortstop and will hit seventh.

Chang (wrist) began fielding ground balls and swinging the bat Tuesday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Chang underwent surgery on his left wrist April 28 and has already begun work in the field, putting him well ahead of schedule in the rehab process. While this is an encouraging sign, Chang likely still has another month or so before he'll be ready to return to Boston's lineup.

Berti is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Nationals.

Berti has fallen back into more of a utility role with the Marlins and will need a fresh uptick in starts to make his speed count for fantasy purposes. He is also just 6-for-9 on stolen-base attempts this season.

The Guardians will recall Rocchio from Triple-A Columbus prior to Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

It's not clear at this point what the corresponding move will be. Rocchio was up with the big club briefly last month but didn't make an appearance. The 22-year-old is batting .338/.396/.487 with one home run and 10 stolen bases at Columbus this season. Rocchio has played both middle-infield spots in 2023 and has some experience at third base, as well. The top prospect would make for an interesting fantasy add if he played regularly, but there wouldn't seem to be a path to that right now.

Mateo went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 9-5 loss to the Angels.

His walk Monday was his first time on base in his last five games. With his bat slumping, Mateo could be at risk of seeing his playing time slip. Despite an 0-for-16 skid, he's still slashing .259/.309/.473 with 13 steals, six home runs, 20 RBI and 24 runs scored through 35 contests. His defense is also strong enough to keep him in the mix at shortstop.

Amaya is slashing .362/.423/.553 through 52 plate appearances in May for Triple-A Jacksonville with four doubles, a triple, a homer and a 5:6 BB:K.

The 24-year-old may not ever be a true asset as a hitter in the majors, but Amaya's glove is big-league ready and all he really needs to do is demonstrate he won't be a liability at the plate before he'll get a chance to take over as the Marlins' starting shortstop. That could happen before the All-Star break, considering that Joey Wendle has had trouble staying healthy and has gone 3-for-28 (.107) to begin the season when he has been in the lineup.

Abrams went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and one steal in Monday's 10-3 win over the Mets.

Abrams recorded his third straight multi-hit game Monday, and during that stretch, he's hit two home runs and collected five RBI. Across 39 games (142 plate appearances), the shortstop is slashing .258/.305/.417 with four home runs, 22 RBI and 16 runs scored. He's also 5-for-7 in stolen-base attempts. Despite some occasional struggles, Abrams figures to be an everyday player for the Nationals, who are currently in last place in the NL East.

Reyes started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 and was caught stealing in Monday's 10-1 loss to Seattle.

Reyes spelled Enrique Hernandez (hamstring) for a second consecutive game after making his Boston debut at second base Saturday. He also finished out the game on the mound, which included 13 eephus pitches (a low of 34.4 mph) among his 21 offerings. He's hit in all three starts, going 5-for-10 with a walk and a double. Red Sox manager Alex Cora is hopeful Hernandez could return Tuesday.
