Chisholm went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Angels.

Chisholm had just two homers over 27 games in August, batting .244 during the month. He's off to a positive start in September, having already matched his total of three-hit games from last month. The second baseman is batting .232 with a .719 OPS, 19 homers, 55 RBI, 67 runs scored, 16 doubles, three triples and 40 stolen bases across 130 contests this season.

Jones went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks, a third RBI, a stolen base and a second run scored in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Angels.

Jones has homered in back-to-back games, and he logged his first multi-hit effort since Aug. 23. The 25-year-old outfielder has homered in four of his last 13 contests. For the season, he's batting .245 with a .771 OPS, nine long balls, 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and nine stolen bases on 11 attempts over 66 games. He's seeing a little more than a strong-side platoon role heading into the stretch run.

Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a triple in Tuesday's 15-2 rout of the Tigers.

Jeffers recorded his second triple of the season in his first plate appearance before taking Kyle Finnegan deep for a three-run homer in the sixth, his second trip to the plate during Minnesota's 10-run frame. He's now homered three times over his last two games after going 24 consecutive contests without leaving the yard. Jeffers is enjoying a strong season, slashing .278/.381/.510 with 13 homers, 16 doubles, two triples, 49 RBI, 46 runs and one steal across 75 games.

Cole (8-7) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Angels on Tuesday.

This was Cole's shortest start in nearly two months. He's allowed three runs in back-to-back outings after a stretch of five starts in which he surrendered no more than two runs in each game. Cole is at a 3.29 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 110:22 K:BB through 104 innings over 18 starts this season. With wins in five of his last seven outings, he's in a good position to keep things rolling when he gets a home start versus the Rockies next week.

The Rays plan to reinstate Jax (elbow) from the 15-day injured list and have him start Wednesday's game against the Mets at Tropicana Field, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The right-hander threw 42 pitches across three innings during his lone rehab start Aug. 23 with Triple-A Durham, then completed a four-inning simulated game Friday, per MLB.com. With Jax's right elbow checking out fine following the sim game, he's been cleared to rejoin the Tampa Bay rotation, though he could have some light workload limitations in place Wednesday. The 31-year-old pitched incredibly well over his last three starts before landing on the IL on Aug. 9, logging a 1.62 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB across 16.2 frames.

The Orioles designated Weston for assignment Tuesday.

Baltimore selected Weston's contract from Norfolk in late May, and he's had two brief stints in the majors this season. He made his MLB debut May 28 with a scoreless frame against Toronto but has now lost his place on the 40-man roster without making another appearance.

Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer during Tuesday's 9-6 win over the Red Sox.

Jedixson Paez made his major-league debut Tuesday, but the Mariners jumped on the Red Sox's 22-year-old right-hander with five runs in the second inning, three of which came off the bat of Arozarena on a homer over the Green Monster. Arozarena has gone 5-for-10 with two home runs, seven RBI and four runs scored through the first two games of the series against Boston. For the season, he has an .837 OPS with 20 steals, 22 home runs and 65 RBI over 566 plate appearances.

Montes went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 9-6 win over Boston.

Montes was promoted from Triple-A Tacoma ahead of his major-league debut Tuesday, serving as the designated hitter. His RBI single in the third inning was his first big-league hit before he belted a 407-foot solo homer to center field in the fifth to give the Mariners a commanding 9-1 lead. Although he was the DH on Tuesday, Montes should see plenty of reps in right field given Taylor Ward's recent struggles at the plate.

White will sit out the Athletics' next couple of games after exiting Tuesday's contest with back soreness, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

White doesn't seem to be facing a trip to the injured list just yet, but the A's will give him a few days off to rest before re-evaluating him to see how much progress he's made in his recovery. Jeff McNeil is likely to move back to first base as a result, opening up second-base reps for Michael Stefanic or Alika Williams.

Woo (10-9) earned the win against the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings.

Mickey Gasper hit a solo homer in the first inning, but Woo settled in to keep the Red Sox off the board for the rest of his outing. It was the third time in eight starts that Woo struck out at least seven batters, and he did enough to come away with his 14th quality start of the season, which is tied for sixth-most in the American League. He'll take a 4.25 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over 148.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for this weekend at home against the Athletics.
