The Tigers recalled Diaz from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

After being claimed off waivers in late June, Diaz has turned in a 2.37 ERA and 21:14 K:BB over 19 innings with Toledo and has made one scoreless appearance for the Tigers. Diaz is likely ticketed for middle relief in Detroit.

The Tigers selected Peck's contract from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

Peck will get his first big-league promotion after slashing .288/.339/.502 with 11 home runs and 22 steals in the minors this season, with most of his time spent at Double-A Erie. Manager A.J. Hinch said Monday that Peck will start at shortstop Tuesday and Wednesday in Minnesota, per Chris McCosky of The Detroit News. He could could see ample playing time down the stretch as the Tigers try to find out where he might fit on the 2027 roster.

Crochet (lat/shoulder) was spotted playing catch off the mound Monday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Crochet has taken the latest step forward in his throwing progression as he works his way back from left shoulder and lat discomfort, which has kept him out of commission since late April. The southpaw won't have enough time to rebuild his stamina to return as a starting pitcher, but the Red Sox are optimistic that he can contribute as a reliever at some point in September.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Mesa (hamstring) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Mesa played five rehab games with Triple-A Durham, going 4-for-18 with a pair of home runs. The 24-year-old landed on the IL in mid-August with a strained left hamstring. Once back on the active roster, Mesa will likely be mixed and matched with Jonny DeLuca in right field.

Miller will rejoin the Mariners rotation Wednesday in Boston after Emerson Hancock (adductor) was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

After manager Dan Wilson announced last week that the righty would be demoted to the bullpen, Miller didn't end up making any relief appearances and will now be plugged back into the five-man rotation while Hancock is out. Miller has posted a 7.18 ERA and 27:16 K:BB across 36.1 frames since the All-Star break.

The Mariners transferred Emerson (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the return of Cooper Criswell from the 60-day IL. Emerson underwent season-ending surgery last week to repair a tendon in his left wrist.

The Mariners placed Davila on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right SC joint sprain in his shoulder.

Davila had just been recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, and he hurt himself in an appearance later that day in the Mariners' 7-0 loss to the Blue Jays. Though he will be eligible for activation in mid-September, the nature of the injury points to Davila being out longer than that, possibly for the rest of the season.

The Mariners activated Criswell (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Criswell has been shelved since early June with a right shoulder strain, but he's ready to go after making three rehab appearances with Triple-A Tacoma. The veteran swingman will offer length out of the Mariners' bullpen.

The Orioles optioned Nunez to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Nunez pitched well in his most recent stint in the big-league bullpen, allowing one run with a 9:3 K:BB over 5.1 innings. His roster spot is being filled by Cade Povich, who will make a spot start Monday versus the Rockies.

The Orioles recalled Povich from Triple-A Norfolk and will have him start Monday's game against the Rockies in Denver, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Povich will draw a spot start in Colorado, as the Orioles will give their regular rotation members some extra rest. The left-hander is coming off a dandy of a start his last time out with Norfolk, striking out 11 over 5.2 scoreless innings. However, Povich makes for an undesirable streaming option at Coors Field.
