Emerson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

The rookie shortstop has gone 3-for-25 with 12 strikeouts through his first eight contests in July and will hit the bench Sunday for the second time in Seattle's past three games. Barring an appearance off the bench. Emerson will close the first half of the season with seven homers, three steals, 20 RBI, 17 runs and a .201/.275/.396 slash line in 45 games.

Tolbert is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Tolbert made some waves with a recent three-game stretch in which he tied an MLB record with 12 consecutive hits while slugging two home runs, stealing three bases, driving in four runs and scoring seven times, but his brief run as a regular appears to have come to an end. With the Royals bringing Vinnie Pasquantino back from the injured list Friday, Tolbert has been the odd man out of the lineup for all three games in Baltimore this weekend. The lack of a full-time role will limit Tolbert's utility in mixed leagues, but he'll still have some appeal in AL-only formats since he still projects to play regularly against left-handed pitching and can make an impact with his speed when he gets a chance to use it.

Loftin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

He'll head to the bench for the series finale while Josh Rojas receives the nod at third base. Loftin had started each of Kansas City's last six games, going 9-for-23 (.391 batting average) with one home run, three doubles, two walks, five runs and four RBI during that stretch.

Rutschman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Rutschman will get a chance to rest in the Orioles' final game before the All-Star break after he had started behind the plate both of the previous two days and had been included in the lineup at catcher or designated hitter in each of the last nine contests. With Rutschman taking a seat, Samuel Basallo will handle catching duties and Taylor Ward will get a turn as the Orioles' DH.

Meidroth went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI on Saturday against the Athletics.

Meidroth drove in the only run of the contest in the sixth inning with a two-out double. He has a modest four-game hitting streak going and has multiple hits with an RBI in each of his last two contests. Meidroth has shown significant growth during his second year in the majors, improving his batting average to .272 while already matching his total from 2025 with 54 runs scored.

The Red Sox recalled Bello from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

The right-hander was in the mix to be called up for a spot start Saturday, but Boston instead turned to Eduardo Rivera to fill Ranger Suarez's (groin) rotation spot. Bello will still join the big club for the final game before the All-Star break and will be available out of the bullpen, with interim manager Chad Tracy suggesting that the 27-year-old could be called upon to cover multiple innings in relief since starter Payton Tolle will likely be in line for a shorter outing by design Sunday, per Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. Since being optioned to Worcester in early June, the 27-year-old posted a 4.34 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 22:4 K:BB across 18.2 frames in four starts after struggling to a 6.34 ERA in 12 outings for the Red Sox.

Vierling went 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the Tigers' 4-2 loss to the Phillies on Saturday.

Vierling paced Detroit's lineup from the leadoff spot as he matched his season high in hits. Heading into the All-Star break, the veteran utility player has mostly been working as a short-side platoon partner to James Outman in center field, with Vierling facing Philadelphia ace Cristopher Sanchez on Saturday. Vierling's ability to play other positions as well boosts his fantasy value, though his playing time is likely to remain somewhat sporadic in the second half of the year.

Clement went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Clement extended his hitting streak to six games with the effort. This was also his first steal since May 22 and his first attempt since June 18, which suggests the hip injury that bothered him at times in June is no longer a concern. Clement is not a huge speed threat -- he's just 3-for-4 on steal attempts this year and totaled just six during the regular season in 2025 -- but he's been solid all around with a .297 average, .748 OPS, seven home runs, 30 RBI, 41 runs scored, 23 doubles and one triple over 92 contests.

Clase went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, two walks and a second run scored in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Clase has two homers among his four hits over five games since joining the Blue Jays' big-league roster at the start of July, and he's added five RBI. Clase looks to be getting a chance at a starting role in left field -- he's started four straight games there, pushing Myles Straw into more of a reserve role. Clase is a switch hitter, so as long as his bat is hot, he should be able to avoid getting platooned, at least until Jesus Sanchez (ankle) is healthy again.

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Guerrero has now homered twice over his last three contests following a 17-game power drought. This was also his first multi-hit effort since June 26 versus the Rangers. The first baseman is enduring a down year, batting .265 with a .709 OPS, six homers, 41 RBI, 51 runs scored and 14 doubles over 90 contests, though he's also at seven steals, one shy of matching his career high from 2022.
