Caminero went 2-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

Caminero contributed to an early Tampa Bay lead with a two-run blast in the first inning. He tacked on an RBI on a fielder's choice in the eighth frame, but the Rays ended up falling short. Caminero is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, during which he's batting .393 (11-for-28) with three homers and eight RBI.

Montgomery went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two total runs and five total RBI in an 11-9 win against Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

It was a big day for Chicago's rookies, as Montgomery and catcher Kyle Teel combined for six hits (including two homers) and seven RBI. Montgomery's long ball was a big three-run shot in the second inning that tied the game 4-4. Montgomery has been hot to begin the second half of the campaign, going 7-for-23 with two home runs and 10 RBI through six contests.

Teel went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and three total runs scored Wednesday in an 11-9 win over Tampa Bay.

The highlight of Teel's day was a solo homer in the sixth inning for his first career MLB long ball, but he was plenty productive beyond that. The rookie catcher added a run-scoring single in the eighth frame and notched his first career four-hit performance. Teel has opened the second half of the season on a tear, going 7-for-14 with six runs and two RBI in his first three games.

Altavilla allowed one hit and two walks over a scoreless inning Wednesday to record a save over the Rays.

The White Sox carried a two-run lead into the bottom of the ninth frame and called upon Altavilla to slam the door. He didn't do so easily, allowing the winning run to come to the plate following a pair of walks after Jake Mangum singled to open the inning but was tagged out after turning toward second base. Altavilla was ultimately able to get the job done, however, by getting Chandler Simpson to line out to center field to end the contest. Altavilla's save was his second of the season but his first since June 7. Grant Taylor is probably the most likely Chicago reliever to get save opportunities moving forward, though he was used in the sixth frame Wednesday and hasn't notched a save since July 4, so it's far from a settled bullpen situation.

Cannon allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

It was truly a mixed bag for Cannon in the outing -- he had pretty good control in throwing 58 of 90 pitches for strikes and missed plenty of bats, notching an impressive 18 whiffs and a season-high nine punchouts. However, the right-hander also tied a season-worst mark in allowing six runs, though one was unearned. Cannon also served up two homers after giving up just one long ball over his previous four outings combined. He had posted a 2.66 ERA across 20.1 frames during that four-game stretch, so Wednesday's performance was a step back despite the healthy punchout total. Cannon's next start is projected to be a home matchup against Philadelphia.

Volpe went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in a loss to Toronto on Wednesday.

Volpe hit one of three Yankees homers in the contest, swatting a 384-foot solo shot in the fifth frame. The young shortstop has just four hits across 19 at-bats to begin the second half, but three of the knocks have been homers. Volpe is up to 13 home runs through 101 contests on the campaign, surpassing the 12 long balls he slugged across 160 regular-season games last year.

Dominguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Toronto on Wednesday.

Dominguez kicked off the scoring with a 380-foot solo blast in the second inning. It was his first long ball since he went deep twice July 4, and the homer also snapped a four-game hitless streak during which he went 0-for-16. The slump has resulted in Dominguez falling into a part-time role in the outfield, as he's started three times in the Yankees' past five games.

Judge went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a loss to Toronto.

Judge went deep in the sixth inning, swatting a two-run shot that temporarily tied the game. It was his second homer since the All-Star break, though the slugger has gone just 4-for-22 with 10 strikeouts so far in the second half. Judge is up to 37 home runs on the season, tied with Shohei Ohtani for second most in the majors behind Cal Raleigh (39).

Fried (11-4) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing six runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings.

There's no indication that the blister that caused Fried to exit after three frames in his previous outing was still bothering him Wednesday, but the veteran hurler nonetheless had one of his worst performances of the season. The six runs allowed by the left-hander tied a season-worst mark, though only four of those were earned as the Yankees defense had a poor day. Fried also failed to miss many bats, notching just six whiffs and three punchouts. He's now lost consecutive starts for the first time this season and will aim to bounce back the next time he takes the mound, which is tentatively scheduled to be early next week against Tampa Bay.

Bassitt (11-4) earned the win over the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over 7.1 innings.

Bassitt gave up three homers in the outing, but New York didn't manage any other hits against him. It was the first time the veteran righty has given up multiple homers since May 30, though the long balls didn't prevent Bassitt from notching his 11th win of the campaign, which is tied for second most among MLB hurlers. Bassitt has recorded a quality start in each of his past three starts, and he's allowed just four earned runs over 19.2 innings during that span.
