Bello did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Guardians, allowing four hits and no walks with five strikeouts over seven scoreless innings.

Bello entered in the second inning with a 4-0 deficit and dominated, needing just 63 pitches to complete seven scoreless frames while generating 11 whiffs. He'll finish May with a 2.67 ERA in 30.1 innings, with the bulk of his damage coming in his lone start of the month while he yielded just two earned runs across four relief appearances. He owns a 5.63 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 40:21 K:BB over 56 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup against the Orioles next week.

Cecconi did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks with three strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Cecconi was staked to an early 4-0 lead and opened with four scoreless frames before allowing three runs while recording just one out in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old tied a season low with 69 pitches, which ironically came in the only other start this season in which he did not issue a walk. He'll carry a 5.25 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 50:20 K:BB across 61.2 innings into a tough road matchup against the Yankees next week.

Grissom went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored during the Angels' 8-5 loss to the Rays on Friday.

Grissom put the Angels on the board with an RBI single in the third before driving in another run with a double in the eighth. He's up to 23 RBI on the season, eight of which have come over his last four games. Grissom is slashing .235/.305/.383 with 11 extra-base hits and 10 runs scored across 132 plate appearances.

Urena did not factor into Friday's decision against the Rays, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out five across six innings.

Urena put the Angels behind early after giving up a leadoff home run to Yandy Diaz. The former collected himself after the long ball to keep the Rays off the board over the final five innings of his start, generating 12 whiffs and eight groundouts while tossing 60 strikes on 92 pitches (65.2 percent strike rate). It was Urena's fourth quality start of the season, and he was in line for the win before the Angels gave up seven runs in the seventh frame. He'll take a 2.44 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 44.1 innings into his next start, which is slated for next week at home against the Rockies.

Smith earned the save in Friday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox, allowing one hit and no walks with three strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

Smith was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning and worked around a leadoff single to become the first pitcher to reach 20 saves this season. A whopping 13 of those saves have come in May, and the 27-year-old has now converted 17 straight opportunities dating back to April 16. Overall, he's 20-for-22 in save chances with a 2.60 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 41:5 K:BB across 27.2 innings.

Baker collected the save in Friday's 8-5 win over the Angels, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.

The Rays put up seven of their eight runs in the seventh inning, and the team brought Baker out for the ninth to protect its three-run lead. It was by no means an easy outing, as he loaded the bases while logging two strikeouts before securing the save by getting Vaughn Grissom to pop out. Baker is up to 15 saves (on 18 chances) this season, which is third most in the majors behind Cade Smith (20) and Mason Miller (17). Baker has a 2.31 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB across 23.1 innings this season.

Aranda went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during the Rays' 8-5 win over the Angels on Friday.

Aranda contributed to the Rays' seven-run seventh inning with a solo home run that gave Tampa Bay a 4-2 lead. It was his 10th long ball of the season, and he's close to matching his 14 home runs in the 2025 regular season (across 422 plate appearances). Aranda has logged at least two hits in four consecutive games and is on a seven-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 12-for-25 (.480) with two home runs and seven RBI.

The White Sox are expected to select Gonzalez's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

With Munetaka Murakami (hamstring) headed toward a multi-week stay on the injured list, the White Sox will call up another young slugger in Gonzalez. After struggling at the plate throughout most of his minor-league career, the 23-year-old has put the pieces together this season while slashing .292/.401/.610 with 17 homers, 55 RBI, 39 runs and seven steals through 51 games at Charlotte. He operates primarily as a middle infielder but has experience at the corners as well, which will give the White Sox some extra lineup flexibility while they attempt to replace their most productive bat.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI during the Rays' 8-5 win over the Angels on Friday.

Diaz put the Rays on the board early, taking the second pitch he saw from Walbert Urena deep to right field for a leadoff home run. Diaz proceeded to kick-start the Rays' seven-run seventh inning with a two-run blast, marking his first multi-homer game since Aug. 2 against the Dodgers. He's up to 10 home runs on the season, six of which have come in 21 games since May 1. Diaz's .313 batting average leads the American League, and he also ranks sixth in the AL in OBP (.392) and seventh in both slugging percentage (.523) and hits (61) across 222 plate appearances.

Severino was removed from Friday's game against the Yankees with right arm soreness, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Severino gave up four unearned runs and struck out a batter during his lone inning of work before his arm forced him to leave his start prematurely. The A's will presumably send him in for imaging to determine whether a structural issue is causing his soreness, and more details on his injury could come out in the near future.
