Latz picked up the save in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Royals. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out one over a scoreless inning.

Entering with a three-run cushion, Latz brushed off a one-out double from Bobby Witt and retired the side without any damage to secure his seventh save of the campaign. The left-handed hurler emerged as the primary closer in late April for good reason, as he owns a 2.08 ERA and 0.62 WHIP across 26 innings this season. Latz has succeeded by limiting free passes with a 5.5 percent walk rate while missing enough bats to post a solid 25.3 percent strikeout rate.

Davis secured the save Sunday against the Tigers, allowing no baserunners in two-thirds of an inning.

Closer Seranthony Dominguez worked each of the past two days for the White Sox, opening the door for Davis to claim his first save of the season Sunday. The 27-year-old right-hander has operated primarily in middle relief this season and doesn't appear to be a significant threat for ninth-inning work going forward, holding a 3.12 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB with no holds across 17.1 innings.

Montero took a no-decision Sunday against the White Sox, allowing no runs on two hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out four.

Montero was cruising along on the hill Sunday, so it was somewhat surprising to see the Tigers pull him after he threw just 65 pitches (46 strikes). Sunday was the second time this year that the 25-year-old right-hander spun six innings of two-hit ball, and it was also the fourth time already this season that he pitched at least six frames while yielding one run or zero. Montero has emerged as a serviceable member of Detroit's rotation in 2026, posting a 3.69 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 43:15 K:BB across 61 innings.

Leiter (3-4) earned the win over the Royals on Sunday, allowing three hits and two walks across 5.2 scoreless innings. He struck out 10.

Leiter fell one out short of qualifying for a quality start, but the right-hander was excellent as he stifled the Royals offense. The 26-year-old matched a season high with 10 strikeouts and recorded his second scoreless outing of the year. Leiter has been up-and-down throughout 2026, culminating in a 4.34 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:28 K:BB across 66.1 innings (12 appearances). His next start is tentatively slated for Saturday against the Guardians.

Wacha (4-3) took the loss Sunday against the Rangers, allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks across five innings. He struck out five.

Wacha got into trouble early, surrendering three extra-base hits that contributed to a four-run first inning for the Rangers. After permitting another pair of runs in the fourth frame, the right-hander tied a season high with six runs allowed. Despite the poor showing Sunday, the veteran's numbers on the season remain strong with a 3.23 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 65:26 K:BB across 75.1 innings (12 starts). His next outing is tentatively scheduled for Friday against the Twins.

Burke took a no-decision Sunday against the Tigers, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

Following Detroit's one-run opening frame, Burke settled down quickly from that point on. Sunday marked the first time the 26-year-old right-hander gave up one run or zero since his first start of the month of May, and he's now fanned at least five in five of his last six outings. Burke has a quality 3.72 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 65.1 innings, but he's set to face one of his stiffest tasks of the season next weekend in Philadelphia against the Phillies.

Suarez took a no-decision Sunday against the Guardians, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out 10.

Sunday was certainly a mixed bag for Suarez, who gave up a season-worst eight knocks but did match a season high with 10 strikeouts. The 30-year-old southpaw remains without a quality start since the end of April, having now worked at least six innings just three times in 11 outings this year. Suarez still has a respectable 3.38 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 57:19 K:BB over 59.2 frames, but he's lined up for a difficult matchup next weekend against the division-rival Yankees in New York.

Bibee took a no-decision Sunday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out five.

After being throttled for a career-worst five home runs in his last start, Bibee managed to steady the ship Sunday. The quality start was the 27-year-old right-hander's sixth in his last nine outings, but he's now surrendered at least three runs in six of his 13 appearances in 2026. Still winless on the year, Bibee will carry a disappointing 4.57 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 60:22 K:BB over 69 innings during his next scheduled start in Texas versus the Rangers.

Jung went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 6-3 win over Kansas City.

Jung doubled and scored in the first inning, then plated two runners with a bases-loaded single in the fourth. He's had an impressive homestand, hitting safely in all six games while going 10-for-24 with four extra-base hits (two HRs), four RBI and six runs scored. Jung was moved to second in the batting order for the three-game set against the Royals and got five plate appearances in each contest.

O'Hoppe was 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Rays.

O'Hoppe posted his first game with multiple extra-base hits this season, lacing a double in the second inning before launching a solo shot in the seventh. The homer was the 26-year-old's first since April 15, and he'll finish May hitting just .211 in 12 games. For the year, he's slashing .207/.301/.594 with two home runs, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored across 133 plate appearances.
