Dodgers' Andrew Heaney: Booted from active roster
The Dodgers optioned Heaney to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Heaney had his contract selected Saturday and threw two innings of relief in his team debut, allowing three earned runs on four hits and one walk. Since Heaney wouldn't have been available for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Mariners, the Dodgers opted to call up Landon Knack from Triple-A to provide a fresh arm in the bullpen.

Dodgers' Landon Knack: Summoned from Triple-A
The Dodgers recalled Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Knack will join the active roster for the final game of the regular season Sunday in Seattle after lefty Andrew Heaney was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. The 27-year-old right-hander has appeared in nine games for the Dodgers in 2025, making seven starts and posting a 5.12 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP across 38.2 innings.

Carlos Rodriguez SP | MIL
Brewers' Carlos Rodriguez: Sent back down
The Brewers optioned Rodriguez to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Sunday.
Milwaukee needed to open up a pair of roster spots for Trevor Megill (elbow) and DL Hall (oblique) to return from the injured list, and Rodriguez found himself on the wrong side of the cut line. The 23-year-old will look to stay fresh at the Brewers' spring training complex now that the minor-league season is complete. Rodriguez appeared in four games with Milwaukee in 2025, posting a 6.52 ERA and an 11:9 K:BB over 9.2 innings.

Brewers' Erick Fedde: DFA'd by Brewers
Milwaukee designated Fedde for assignment Sunday.
Fedde inked a one-year deal with the Brewers in late August, but his run with the team will come to an end ahead of the regular-season finale versus the Reds. The veteran right-hander appeared in seven games with Milwaukee, logging a 3.38 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP and a 7:7 K:BB across 16 innings.

Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Brewers' Trevor Megill: Officially activated
The Brewers reinstated Megill (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.
As expected, Megill will join the 28-man active roster for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Reds. Megill had been sidelined since Aug. 24 due to a right flexor strain, so the Brewers are likely to have him make an appearance in Sunday's contest in order to shake off some rust before the NLDS. Before landing on the shelf, Megill had been serving as the Brewers' closer and posted a 2.54 ERA and 30 saves over 46 innings.

Harrison Bader CF | SF
Phillies' Harrison Bader: Getting breather Sunday
Bader is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
His streak of 18 consecutive starts comes to an end in the Phillies' regular-season finale, with Brandon Marsh patrolling center field in his stead. Bader had served as Philadelphia's leadoff hitter in 17 consecutive games before Sunday, but now that Trea Turner is back from the injured list, Bader could move back down the batting order during the postseason.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Sitting in Game 162
Realmuto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Realmuto will get the day off for the Phillies' regular-season finale. Assuming the catcher remains on the bench for the contest, he'll head into the playoffs with a .257/.315/.384 slash line, 12 home runs, 52 RBI and 57 runs scored across 549 plate appearances.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Sitting season finale
Arenado is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
Arenado will take a seat for Game 162, giving way to Nolan Gorman at third base. Assuming Arenado doesn't enter off the bench, he'll finish the 2025 season with a .237/.289/.377 slash line, 12 home runs, 52 RBI and 48 runs scored across 436 plate appearances.

Max Lazar P | PHI
Phillies' Max Lazar: Optioned to FCL
The Phillies optioned Lazar to the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Sunday.
Lazar will be the casualty on the 28-man active roster as the Phillies make room for shortstop Trea Turner's (hamstring) return from the injured list. The right-handed reliever has posted a 4.79 ERA and a 26:12 K:BB across 41.1 innings for Philadelphia this season.
