The Diamondbacks recalled Jarvis from Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Jarvis has been with Reno since early September, but he'll rejoin the 28-man roster Friday in place of Nabil Crismatt. Jarvis has posted a 6.10 ERA in 20.2 innings with Arizona this season and an 8.47 ERA in 78.2 innings for Reno.

Holmes will start Saturday's game against the Marlins, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Holmes has been working in tandem with Sean Manaea throughout September, but both threw one inning of relief Wednesday, meaning Saturday's contest could be more of a total bullpen game. Holmes had pitched between 3.2 and 4.2 innings in his other four appearances in September.

Lodolo (groin) will throw his regularly scheduled bullpen this weekend and will not require any further evaluation, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Lodolo was lifted from Thursday's start against the Pirates with a minor groin injury, but he's a full go for his regularly scheduled bullpen and isn't concerned about the injury. If the Reds reach the postseason, Lodolo would likely be ready to make a start next week.

Atlanta recalled Harris from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.

Harris will provide manager Brian Snitker with another bullpen arm for the final series of the season versus the Pirates. The southpaw yielded one run over 2.2 relief innings earlier this month for Atlanta.

Atlanta optioned Waldrep to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.

Waldrep made his final start of the season Tuesday against the Nationals, so Atlanta will replace him on the roster with reliever Hayden Harris. The 23-year-old right-hander should be locked into Atlanta's 2026 rotation after collecting a 2.88 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 55:22 K:BB in 56.1 innings this season.

Vientos is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Miami.

Vientos is just 7-for-47 (.149) with no home runs over his last 14 contests, so he'll get a day to regroup. The Mets are going with Francisco Alvarez in the designated hitter slot.

Alvarez (cramps) will start at designated hitter and bat seventh in Friday's game in Miami.

Alvarez didn't play in Thursday's game versus the Cubs due to cramps, but he's back in action after a day of rest. With Alvarez at DH, Luis Torrens will do the catching for the Mets.

Norby is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.

Norby will get the night off Friday after making three straight starts. In his place, Graham Pauley will bat ninth and play third base.

Benson is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest in Milwaukee.

The left-handed-hitting Benson had drawn 11 straight starts against right-handed pitching, but he'll take a seat Friday versus righty Quinn Priester. Gavin Lux and Noelvi Marte will occupy the corner outfield spots for the Reds, while Miguel Andujar will serve as the designated hitter.

Manager Rob Thomson said Friday that Turner (hamstring) had an encouraging day of work, and while Turner won't play Saturday, he could return to the lineup Sunday against Minnesota, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Turner is working his way back from a strained right hamstring and could be activated for the Phillies' regular-season finale. Thomson has reiterated that Turner is expected to be available for Game 1 of the NLDS on Oct. 4, but a tuneup game Sunday could help knock off some rust, considering he's been on the shelf since Sept. 8.
