Caminiti struck out a career-high nine for Single-A Augusta on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over six innings.

In addition to setting a new personal best in Ks, Caminiti completed six innings in a start for the first time. The 2024 first-round pick has found another gear since the All-Star break, posting a 1.61 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 37:13 K:BB over his last 28 innings, and he could be setting the stage for a rapid rise through the Atlanta system in 2026.

Ritchie gave up one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings for Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday. He struck out 11.

The 11 Ks were a career high for the 22-year-old right-hander at any level. Ritchie has made an impressive return from May 2023 Tommy John surgery, beginning the season at High-A and now sitting one promotion away from his big-league debut. Over seven starts for Gwinnett, he's posted a 3.62 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 39:16 K:BB through 37.1 innings, and while Atlanta has little reason to bring him up in September, Ritchie could get an audition for a rotation spot next spring.

Burns (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Burns threw a bullpen session without any issues Tuesday and is working his way back to active status. Per the report, an estimated timeline indicates he could possibly return by the end of the season.

De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Dodgers.

De La Cruz has slumped during the month of August, and a recent report indicated he was managing a quadriceps injury. There may be some validity to that reporting, as Wednesday's stolen-base attempt was his first in 15 games and third attempt this month, his lowest monthly output in 2025. When he didn't get on base Tuesday, De La Cruz struck out four times, upping his monthly total to 35 (33.0 percent strikeout rate).

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Milwaukee.

Perdomo's leadoff home run in the eighth inning gave the Diamondbacks a needed insurance run. It was his 15th homer and continued a torrid month of August, during which the shortstop is slashing .366/.478/.591 with four home runs, 12 RBI, 19 walks, eight steals and 27 runs over 25 contests.

Thompson (shoulder) is scheduled to throw Friday after pitching a scoreless inning for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

The outing Tuesday was the first game appearance of a rehab assignment for Thompson. Following a live batting practice and a sim game, Tuesday's appearance was expected to be his final step before activation; however, the report indicates Friday's throwing session is the only confirmed next step in the process. The Diamondbacks may be waiting for September when rosters can be expanded be to 28 players (14 pitchers).

Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Giants on Wednesday.

Hoerner gave Chicago a 3-1 lead with his three-run blast in the second inning, but the Giants responded with the game's next 11 runs. The long ball was Hoerner's first since July 29, though he did bat a decent .264 with an 8:6 BB:K and four steals during the 24-game homer drought. Hoerner has never been much of a power hitter, so it's not entirely surprising that he's hit just five home runs through 128 games this season. He's found other ways to contribute with a .290 batting average, 64 runs, 53 RBI and 23 stolen bases.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with a home run, two total runs and two total RBI in Wednesday's 12-3 rout of the Cubs.

Chapman and Rafael Devers combined for seven of San Francisco's 13 hits, with the former collecting three of those knocks. Among the third baseman's hits was a run-scoring single in the fifth inning and a solo homer to left field in the seventh. Chapman is still batting a poor 11-for-51 (.216 average) through 15 games in August, but he may be starting to perk up at the plate -- over his past three games, he's gone 5-for-11 with three extra-base hits (two home runs and a double).

Devers went 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs, a double, a walk, four total runs and five total RBI in a 12-3 victory versus the Cubs on Wednesay.

Devers ignited San Francisco's offense early with a first-inning solo blast. He added a run-scoring double in the third and a three-run homer in the sixth. Devers finished with his fourth four-hit game of the campaign, and his five RBI trailed only his May 23 eight-RBI performance against the Orioles for his most this season. In fact, Devers tallied more RBI on Wednesday than he had in his previous 15 games combined.

Nelson (7-3) notched the win Wednesday against the Brewers, allowing one run on six hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out three.

Wednesday marked Nelson's third straight start of at least six innings and his eighth consecutive of at least five frames. While the three strikeouts were his fewest over that eight-start span, the right-hander has surrendered two runs or fewer five times during that period. Nelson sports a 3.53 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 108:32 K:BB across 125 innings in 2025 ahead of his next scheduled outing, which lines up for next week at home versus the Rangers.
