Suarez (hand) participated in a light batting practice session Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Suarez, who was hit by a pitch in Monday's game, is confident he will return to the lineup Friday, but the Diamondbacks want him to undergo an MRI when the swelling subsides. That potentially could happen Thursday. Ildemaro Vargas took over at third base Tuesday, but he suffered a fractured foot and landed on the 10-day injured list. Tim Tawa is currently handling the hot corner, and the team also called up infielder Blaze Alexander from Triple-A Reno.

Koss went 0-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-5 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Koss drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning to tie the game at 2-2. He later scored in the 10th, starting at second base as the automatic runner. The 27-year-old infielder is slashing .200/.188/.400 with four RBI, three runs scored, a home run and a stolen base across 17 plate appearances in June.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a home run in Wednesday's 8-5 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Yastrzemski hit a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first, marking his seventh of the season. The 34-year-old outfielder has recorded just two hits in his last four games, though both have been home runs. Yastrzemski is slashing .271/.362/.441 with 10 RBI, eight runs scored, two long balls and a 9:13 BB:K across 69 plate appearances in June.

Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI in an 8-5 extra-inning win against San Francisco on Wednesday.

Hernandez broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the eighth inning and drove in two more runs with a double in the 10th. The four RBI were one more than he had notched over 16 games this season coming into play. Hernandez hadn't started in any of Miami's three games prior to Wednesday, but he's hit well when given the opportunity, posting a .340/.377/.480 slash line through 53 plate appearances.

Webb allowed two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six batters over six innings in a no-decision against Miami on Wednesday.

Webb yielded a pair of runs in the second frame but otherwise kept the Marlins off the scoreboard. The right-hander walked three batters for the second time in his past three outings, but none of those free passes resulted in a run. Webb is an NL Cy Young contender at this point in the campaign, posting a 2.52 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 120:23 K:BB over 17 starts spanning 107.1 innings. He's registered six consecutive quality starts and is tied for first in the league in that category with 13 on the season.

Faucher (3-2) earned the win but blew a save against the Giants on Wednesday, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk over one inning.

Though he was credited with the victory, this was far from a good outing by the right-hander. Faucher hit two batters and walked another during his time on the mound, and the single he allowed would have ended the game if not for Jung Hoo Lee getting thrown out trying to score. The blown save was Faucher's first since May 26, and he recorded six saves across 10.2 innings during that span. With that in mind, he's probably still the Marlins' top option for saves despite Wednesday's rough appearance.

Cabrera allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out six batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Wednesday.

Cabrera served up a solo homer to the first batter he faced, but he was relatively good after that, yielding just one more run over the remainder of his outing. The right-hander tossed 54 of 90 pitches for strikes and notched a healthy six punchouts -- breaking a streak of four straight outings with exactly five strikeouts -- but didn't get enough run support while he was in the game to get the win. Cabrera hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his past six starts, and he's posted a 1.80 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 36:15 K:BB over 30 frames during that stretch.

Conforto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 8-1 victory versus Colorado.

Conforto has had a rough first season in Los Angeles, posting a meager .176/.302/.308 slash line through 70 games. However, he's come alive over the team's past two contests in Colorado, homering twice and going 4-for-9 with four RBI. That surge may set Conforto back on a successful track, though Bob Nightengale of USA Today has reported that Los Angeles may be seeking another outfielder via trade to address Conforto's season-long struggles.

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a home run, two total runs and six RBI in an 8-1 win against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Muncy's first two RBI can be attributed to the weather -- he lofted a pop fly in the infield with two runners on base in the sixth inning, but rain impeded the catch, allowing the ball to drop and resulting in two Dodgers crossing the plate. The veteran third baseman earned every bit of his next hit, as he blasted a 418-foot grand slam in the seventh frame to break the game open for Los Angeles. Muncy has six hits -- including three long balls -- and 13 RBI over his past three games, pushing his season OPS to .829 after it stood at .723 coming into June.

Dollander (2-8) took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one batter over 5.2 innings.

Dollander got through five scoreless frames before being charged with three runs in the sixth. However, those runs weren't entirely his fault -- he would have gotten the third out of the inning without allowing a run, but heavy rain impeded the catch on a Max Muncy infield popup and allowed the ball to drop, scoring two runners. Muncy eventually came around to score, posting another tally on what was nearly a strong line for Dollander. The rookie right-hander has no wins over his past eight starts, going 0-5 with a 5.79 ERA across 37.1 innings during that stretch.
