Suzuki went 1-for-1 with three walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 18-3 loss to the Giants.

Suzuki's eighth-inning home run was about the only bright spot for the Cubs in the ugly loss. That's now two long balls in three days for the slugging outfielder, who is up to nine homers for the season across 50 games. Suzuki popped a career-best 32 home runs in 151 regular-season contests last year, and he could make a run at that figure in 2026 if he starts to heat up.

Vargas (thigh) entered Friday's game in the eighth inning to play second base. He did not get a plate appearance in a 14-1 loss to the Nationals.

Vargas was injured in a scary collision with Los Angeles' Max Muncy on Thursday but appears to have avoided a serious injury. That he was able to play the field for a couple of innings is an encouraging sign that Vargas can resume his role sharing first base and DH with occasional work at other infield spots.

Perez (4-3) earned the win Friday against the Pirates after allowing three runs on three hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out five.

Perez has pitched at least five innings in each of his last four starts, posting a 4.35 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with a 19:9 K:BB across 20.2 innings in that stretch. While he hasn't turned heads with his performance, at least he's limiting the damage and receiving enough support from the offense to get the job done. His next start should come against the White Sox on the road.

Keller (5-3) was tagged with the loss Friday against Atlanta, allowing six runs on seven hits and three walks across 4.2 innings. He struck out four and also hit a batter.

Keller enjoyed an excellent start to the season, and while some regression was expected, he's been hit hard of late. He's given up four or more runs in four of his last five appearances, a stretch in which he's gone 1-2 while posting an 8.31 ERA and 1.58 WHIP with a 20:9 K:BB across 26 innings. Keller has now fallen short of five innings in his last two appearances. Keller won't have an easier outing next time around since he's scheduled to face the Dodgers at home next week.

Drohan is slated to start Sunday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Drohan will be making his second straight turn through the rotation after most recently striking out five batters while yielding two earned runs on four hits and two walks across four innings in a start Monday against the Giants. Since he had previously been working out of the bullpen, Drohan was lifted after tossing 68 pitches in Monday's start, but he should have a little bit longer leash Sunday.

Iglesias notched a save in Friday's win over the Pirates. He tossed a scoreless ninth inning while allowing a hit and a walk, striking out one.

Iglesias has been one of the best closers in the majors this season and has gone 12-for-12 in save chances thus far. This time, he needed 19 pitches (12 strikes) to get the job done while holding a three-run lead, though he did allow two hitters to get on base. Iglesias has given up just two runs all season long, posting a 0.92 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 19.2 innings in 19 outings in 2026.

Gough (elbow) has struck out eight batters and allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk across 8.1 innings in his two starts since being reinstated from Single-A Ontario's 7-day injured list May 28.

Acquired from the Mariners in November, Gough didn't make his Dodgers organizational debut until mid-May while he completed his recovery from September 2024 Tommy John surgery. After making two rehab starts in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, Gough received the green light to join Ontario. The 22-year-old has delivered an impressive pair of starts for Ontario thus far and could get a promotion to High-A Great Lakes before long.

Freeman went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 1-0 win over the Angels.

Freeman delivered a walk-off blast against Kirby Yates in the ninth inning in a game that was lacking in offense. Freeman has hit safely in nine of his last 11 contests, going 15-for-44 (.341) with four homers and 12 RBI in that span. On the year, the first baseman is batting .276 with an .838 OPS, 10 homers, 35 RBI, 32 runs scored, two stolen bases, 15 doubles and a triple over 61 games. His ratios have slipped a bit overall, but he's currently trending up.

Sasaki allowed two hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven shutout innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Angels.

Sasaki had his best start of the season, but a rare quiet showing from the Dodgers' bats kept him from earning the win. He's been on a roll lately, allowing just five runs (four earned) with a 29:5 K:BB over 24.1 innings across his last four starts. Overall, Sasaki is at a 4.03 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 60:21 K:BB through 58 innings over 11 starts. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the White Sox.

Groover went 0-for-4 in Friday's 14-1 loss to the Nationals in his major-league debut.

Groover is set for a short-side platoon role as a corner infielder. The 24-year-old hit .322 with an .873 OPS, three home runs, 39 RBI, 37 runs scored, 16 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 56 games prior to his call-up. Groover could challenge Ildemaro Vargas for playing time at first base, and he also offers some cover at third if Nolan Arenado needs to rest his legs.
