Rockies' Seth Halvorsen: Back in big-league bullpen
The Rockies recalled Halvorsen from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
Halvorsen wasn't able to win a spot on the Opening Day roster but will get a look now after yielded just two runs with a 12:5 K:BB in his first 10 innings at Albuquerque. His stay could be a short one, as Halvorsen is a good bet to be sent back down when Jimmy Herget returns from paternity leave.

Reds' Chase Petty: Back from injury Thursday

Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Expected to land on injured list
The Mets are expected to place Lindor (calf) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Lindor was forced to leave Wednesday's game versus the Twins after tweaking his left calf while running the bases. The results of an MRI on Lindor's calf have yet to be revealed, but the feeling is that the injury is bad enough to force an IL move. Ronny Mauricio is in line to take Lindor's roster spot and could get some starts at shortstop in Lindor's stead. The club could also shift Bo Bichette to his natural shortstop position and use Brett Baty at third base.

Alan Rangel RP | PHI
Phillies' Alan Rangel: Optioned to Triple-A
The Phillies optioned Rangel to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday.
Rangel helped save the bullpen in Wednesday's loss to the Cubs, striking out five over three innings of one-run ball. His reward is a trip back to Lehigh Valley, where he will reenter the rotation. Rangel holds a 1.66 ERA and 18:10 K:BB over 21.2 frames with Lehigh Valley in 2026.

Felix Reyes LF | PHI
Phillies' Felix Reyes: Third straight start at cleanup
Reyes will start in left field and bat cleanup in Thursday's game versus the Cubs.
It's the third straight start in the cleanup spot for Reyes, who is 3-for-11 with one home run in his first three big-league games. The first two of those starts came against lefties, but the right-handed-hitting Reyes will remain in the cleanup slot Thursday versus Cubs righty Edward Cabrera. Adolis Garcia is getting a day off for the Phillies.

Phillies' Adolis Garcia: First day off Thursday

It's the first day off this season for Garcia, who is slashing only .212/.299/.329 with a pair of home runs and a 27.8 percent strikeout rate in his first 24 contests this season. Brandon Marsh is sliding over to right field, and Felix Reyes will get the start in left field as the Phillies try to avoid a ninth straight loss.
