Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Diaz had gone 0-for-8 with three walks and five strikeouts over his previous four games. The catcher was able to do some damage Sunday, stretching the Padres' lead to 7-2 with a ninth-inning homer, his first long ball since May 4 versus the Pirates. Diaz is now at a .219/.292/.336 slash line with four homers, five doubles, 10 RBI, 20 runs scored and no stolen bases over 162 plate appearances. He has been in a fairly even timeshare with Martin Maldonado since the start of June, as neither backstop is doing much consistently with the bat, though Maldonado has the slight edge in playing time over the last week.

Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Cronenworth is enjoying a steady but unremarkable June -- he's hit safely in five straight games and in 10 of 14 contests for the month. However, his fourth-inning homer Sunday was his first extra-base hit since a May 28 double versus the Marlins, and he also picked up his first RBI since June 3 against the Giants. The infielder is now at a .241/.367/.400 slash line with five homers, 17 RBI, 21 runs scored and one stolen base across 46 games this season. Hitting consistently is half the battle, but Cronenworth's fantasy stock will remain fairly low if he can't get more involved in run production.

Devers was traded to the Giants on Sunday in return for right-handed pitcher Jordan Hicks, lefty starter Kyle Harrison, minor-league outfielder James Tibbs and minor-league reliever Jose Bello, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Yankees, which will ultimately be his final one in a Boston uniform. The 28-year-old's displeasure with the organization has been well-chronicled this year, and he will now get a fresh start in San Francisco. Devers is batting .272 with 15 home runs, 58 RBI, 47 runs scored and a stolen base over 272 at-bats through 73 games this season. His 15 home runs on the year are one higher than the Giants' team total of 14 long balls from lefty bats this year, so he'll address an obvious need for his new squad. It's unclear if Devers will return to the field at third base with the Giants or not, especially considering Matt Chapman (hand) occupies that role when healthy.

Pivetta (7-2) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out nine over seven innings to earn the win Sunday over the Diamondbacks.

Pivetta bounced back from a pair of rough starts against division rivals to begin June. He was excellent Sunday, throwing 67 of 94 pitches for strikes and limiting the damage to Eugenio Suarez's two-run home run in the fifth inning. Pivetta is up to eight quality starts in 14 outings, and he's maintained a 3.40 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 88:22 K:BB through 79.1 innings this season. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Royals.

The Nationals are expected to call up House from Triple-A Rochester ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Rockies, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

House has been on a heater at Triple-A, batting .365 with three home runs over 12 games in June. The 22-year-old is widely viewed as one of Washington's top hitting prospects, and on the season, he owns a .304/.353/.519 slash line with 13 home runs in 65 contests with Rochester. Jose Tena was sent down to Triple-A after the Nationals' 3-1 loss to Miami on Sunday, clearing the way for House to begin his time in the big leagues as the team's primary option at third base. House may need to get off to a good start with Washington to hold off Amed Rosario and Paul DeJong (orbital) for playing time at the hot corner over the balance of the season.

Painter struck out six batters and allowed one hit and two walks over five scoreless innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Painter had permitted 10 earned runs in nine innings over his first two starts of June, but he took an encouraging step forward Sunday, facing just one batter more than the minimum while needing 72 pitches to record 15 outs. The right-hander now holds a 4.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 35:13 K:BB over 31 innings in his seven starts since joining Lehigh Valley after completing a four-start rehab assignment in the Florida State League. Painter's big-league debut was pushed back after he underwent Tommy John surgery in July 2023, but assuming he can build on Sunday's outing and continue to overwhelm Triple-A hitters, he should be ready to slot into the Philadelphia rotation at some point shortly after the All-Star break.

The Nationals are expected to recall Lile from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Lile will return for his second stint in Washington after batting .281 with one home run and three stolen bases in 32 at-bats for Rochester following his demotion earlier this month. With Robert Hassell being optioned to Triple-A following the Nationals' 3-1 loss to the Marlins on Sunday, Lile will take his spot in the Washington outfield. Lile had operated as a strong-side platoon player during his time with Washington earlier this season, but it's unclear if he'll be supplant Jacob Young or Alex Call as the preferred option in center or right field this time around.

Hernandez will start in left field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Giants.

The Dodgers are stocking up on some extra right-handed bats to counter Giants southpaw Kyle Harrison, so Hernandez will get the call in left field to fill in for the left-handed-hitting Michael Conforto. Hernandez will be making his first start since June 5, and the light playing time may in part explain why he's gone just 2-for-20 with 10 strikeouts so far this month.

Muncy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

The Dodgers are facing a lefty starter (Kyle Harrison) for the first time since June 5, so the left-handed-hitting Muncy will take a seat after he had been included in the lineup in each of the previous eight games. Miguel Rojas will step in at third base for Muncy and will bat ninth.

The Nationals optioned Tena to Triple-A Rochester after Sunday's 3-1 loss to Miami, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Tena earned a spot on the Nationals' Opening Day roster but had yet to make much of a splash through the first two-plus months of the season, slashing .248/.325/.365 with zero home runs, two stolen bases, 18 runs and 13 RBI over 154 plate appearances. The 24-year-old had been occupying the strong side of a platoon at third base with Amed Rosario, but the Nationals will call up prospect Brady House from Triple-A on Monday and are likely to deploy him as an everyday player at the hot corner.
