Stott went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double and five total RBI in Sunday's 11-4 win over the Yankees.

Stott set a season high in RBI, highlighted by a solo homer in the second inning and a bases-clearing double with the bases loaded in the sixth frame. The outburst was especially encouraging after he entered Sunday with no homers and just two RBI through his first 19 games in July. Overall, the second baseman is slashing .252/.307/.405 with eight homers, 47 RBI, 41 runs and 17 stolen bases across 100 contests.

Sanchez (13-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings against the Yankees. He struck out six.

Sanchez surrendered three runs in the fifth inning but received ample run support to pick up his 13th win. The southpaw has put together a lackluster July, posting a 6.65 ERA and 1.85 WHIP across 21.2 innings (four starts), though much of the damage came during a July 6 outing against the Royals in which he surrendered nine runs. Overall, the 29-year-old has been stellar this season, pitching to a 2.73 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 157:28 K:BB over 138.2 innings (22 starts). Sanchez is tentatively slated to make his next start Saturday versus the Orioles.

Semien went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit three-run home run in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Dodgers.

Semien entered as a pinch hitter for Luis Robert in the seventh inning and promptly launched a three-run homer to extend New York's lead. He has now homered twice over his last four games, though those long balls account for two of just three hits over seven contests since returning from the injured list. Semien is batting just .207 with a .607 OPS across 87 games this season.

Whisenhunt (2-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks over five innings against the Angels. He struck out seven.

Whisenhunt showed off his swing-and-miss stuff by registering 18 whiffs and seven strikeouts, but the southpaw was tagged for a pair of homers in the fourth inning that soured the outing and saddled him with the loss. The 25-year-old has spent most of the season with Triple-A Sacramento, as Sunday marked his third big-league start of the season, and he owns a 4.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 13:8 K:BB across 15.2 innings with San Francisco. With Trevor McDonald (elbow) likely to miss an extended period of time, Whisenhunt figures to stick around in the rotation for the time being, with his next start tentatively scheduled for Friday at San Diego.

Taylor went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a hit-by-pitch in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Dodgers.

Taylor delivered a big swing in the sixth inning, taking Evan Phillips deep for a three-run homer that gave the Mets the lead. The blast was his eighth of the season. The veteran outfielder has heated up at the plate, going 8-for-20 (.400) with three home runs over his last 10 games. On the season, Taylor is slashing .237/.281/.481 with eight home runs, eight doubles, 23 RBI and 17 runs scored.

Stowers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Padres.

After doubling in his first plate appearance, Stowers took Walker Buehler deep for a solo homer, giving him 13 long balls on the season. The outfielder entered Sunday in a slump, batting just .152 over his previous 12 games, making the multi-hit effort a welcome sign. Through 81 games this season, Stowers owns a .234/.315/.441 slash line with 18 doubles, three triples, 45 RBI, 37 runs scored and one stolen base.

President of baseball operations Paul Toboni said Sunday that the Nationals are targeting Aug. 3 for the start of Early's (elbow) rehab assignment, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Early hasn't pitched since June 30 due to left elbow inflammation, but the Nationals didn't view the injury as enough of a concern to deter them from acquiring the 24-year-old pitcher from the Red Sox on Sunday in exchange for infielder Curtis Mead. The southpaw completed a one-inning simulated bullpen session Friday and is expected to throw a more extended session during the upcoming week before he heads out on a rehab assignment. Early could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list to make his Nationals debut at some point during the second week of August.

Machado went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Marlins.

Machado got the Padres on the board with an RBI double in the fifth inning before tying the game with a two-run homer in the eighth. The veteran third baseman has stayed locked in at the plate, homering four times over his last seven games while collecting 11 hits during that stretch. Through 103 games this season, Machado is slashing .210/.296/.438 with 23 home runs, 18 doubles, 63 RBI, 53 runs scored and two stolen bases.

Snell (elbow) will make his next rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City and is expected to cover around four innings and 60 pitches, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

The upcoming appearance will be the third of Snell's rehab assignment as he continues to get stretched back out after undergoing a NanoScope procedure May 19 to remove loose bodies from his left elbow. In his latest outing Friday with Oklahoma City, Snell tossed 49 pitches (32 strikes) over 2.2 innings, striking out three batters while yielding one earned run on two hits and zero walks. Assuming he meets his targeted workload Wednesday, Snell may need just one rehab start beyond that before returning from the 60-day injured list in the first or second week of August.

Abrams went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 10-7 win over the Diamondbacks.

It was Abrams' fourth career multi-homer game and his second of the season. The All-Star shortstop is on a remarkable power surge, blasting seven long balls in his last seven outings while hitting .567 (17-for-30) with 14 RBI during that span. Abrams also notably became the first National with seven homers in a seven-game period since Kyle Schwarber in 2021, and his 27 homers for the campaign have broken Ian Desmond's franchise record for the most in a season by a shortstop, per Patrick Stevens of MLB.com.
