Soroka took a no-decision Thursday against the White Sox, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out six.

With a favorable home matchup versus the lowly White Sox, Soroka built on his excellent start to the season. The right-hander has now worked at least five innings while giving up two runs or fewer in all but one of his first five outings. While Soroka boasts a 2.60 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 34:7 K:BB over his first 27.2 frames, he's lined up for a tough test his next time out in Milwaukee.

Webb (2-3) took the loss Thursday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out five.

The All-Star right-hander hardly deserved the loss Thursday, turning in his fourth quality start in his past five outings. Despite the consistent length he's provided, Webb has given up fewer than three runs on just one occasion so far this year. He'll be aiming for better run prevention in his next scheduled appearance in Philadelphia, where Webb will carry a shaky 4.86 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 37 frames in 2026.

Waldron took a no-decision Thursday against the Rockies, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out three.

Facing a stiff assignment at Coors Field on Thursday, Waldron was unable to get the Rockies off balance with his knuckleball. The 29-year-old right-hander has now yielded six runs on eight hits in both of his starts to begin the season, and it's plausible that Lucas Giolito will eventually take Waldron's spot in the rotation once he's up to speed after signing with the Padres on Wednesday. Waldron tentatively projects to next take the ball against the Cubs.

Carroll batted third and went 0-for-4 in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the White Sox.

Carroll batted third for the first time this season after serving as the No. 2 batter since Opening Day, which will be the arrangement going forward, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. As part of the tweak, Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo will tandem between batting leadoff and second, a couple of good on-base batters that could set up Carroll with more RBI potential. "I think (Marte) and Perdomo are fine, and it will continue to be fine," Lovullo said. "I just felt like Corbin third with the slug, with two guys potentially getting on base [ahead of him]." Carroll is slashing .296/.396/.580 with three home runs, four triples, six doubles, four steals, 17 RBI and 17 runs scored over 23 contests.

Perdomo batted leadoff and went 1-for-4 in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the White Sox.

Perdomo hit atop the order for the first time this season, as manager Torey Lovullo plans to platoon the shortstop and Ketel Marte at leadoff, per Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. The two players operated as tandem leadoff batters over the second half of 2025 -- Perdomo against righties, Marte against lefties -- so the roles are nothing new to either player. The move coincides with Perdomo catching fire at the dish; he's hit safely in seven consecutive games, going 13-for-27 with four extra-base hits, two steals, two RBI and four runs scored. As part of the lineup tweak, Corbin Carroll drops from second to third in the order.

Marsh went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three total RBI in Thursday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

Marsh, who came into the day with two homers in his first 21 games, opened the scoring with a solo shot off Edward Cabrera in the second inning before adding a second long ball in the seventh. Marsh has been swinging the bat well of late, going 12-for-32 (.375) over his last nine games. His slash line is up to .300/.329/.500 with 14 RBI, 10 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases across 85 plate appearances this season.

Sanchez did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Cubs, allowing six runs on 12 hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Coming into the day, Sanchez hadn't given up more than two earned runs in any of his previous five starts this season. He had also given up just one home run on the year before the Cubs tagged him for a pair of long balls. Overall, Sanchez sports a 2.94 ERA despite a subpar 1.60 WHIP. He'll look to rebound in his next outing, currently scheduled to come next week at home against San Francisco.

Cabrera didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Phillies, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and no walks. He struck out five.

Philadelphia's three-run seventh inning put a damper on what was otherwise an excellent start from Cabrera. The right-hander didn't walk a batter for the first time in a start this season while matching a season high with five strikeouts. Cabrera's ERA now sits at 2.73 with a 1.18 WHIP and 22:11 K:BB across five outings (29.2 innings). He's currently scheduled to face the Padres on the road his next time out.

Sproat did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Tigers, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Sproat gave up a two-run homer to Riley Greene with two outs in the first inning, but he settled down from there and kept Detroit off the board until the sixth inning, when they tacked on another run. The 25-year-old Sproat had given up two runs over 10.1 innings in his previous two outings and came close to delivering a second straight quality start Thursday. Overall, his ERA sits at 6.45 with a 1.57 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB across 22.1 innings this season.

Peralta is set to be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Peralta has made seven appearances out of the bullpen with Albuquerque since the Rockies claimed him off waivers April 4, posting a 3.72 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with seven strikeouts over 9.2 innings. The 26-year-old will give Colorado another left-handed option out of its bullpen ahead of a three-game series against the Mets.
