Reiver Sanmartin RP | SF
Giants' Reiver Sanmartin: Sidelined three months
Sanmartin will be sidelined for three months after being diagnosed Monday with a severe right hip flexor strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Sanmartin suffered the injury during a recent exhibition game and an MRI revealed a serious injury. The left-hander had been competing for a spot in the Giants bullpen after being claimed off waivers from the Reds back in November.

Jacob Misiorowski SP | MIL
Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Strikes out six more
Misiorowski allowed one earned run over 3.1 innings in Sunday's spring game against the Mariners. He gave up two hits, struck out six batters and walked one.
Misiorowski struck out five batters over 2.0 innings in a matchup with the British national team last week, and he racked up six more Sunday while tossing 59 pitches. Misiorowski posted an 11.9 K/9 in his 2025 season, and he appears poised to continue racking up the punchouts.

Kyle Harrison SP | MIL
Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Hits high note again
Harrison allowed one earned run over 3.0 innings in Sunday's spring game against the Mariners. He gave up two hits, struck out eight batters and walked two.
Harrison shined while tossing three frames in an exhibition matchup against the British national team last week, and he did the same Sunday in his first official appearance of the spring. Over the two outings Harrison allowed just one earned run and posted a 10:3 K:BB, so he is making a strong case to break camp with a spot in the big-league rotation.

Hunter Brown SP | HOU
Astros' Hunter Brown: Dominant in spring
Brown pitched four scoreless innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Nationals, issuing just two walks while striking out nine.
Brown was nearly untouchable Sunday as he struck out nine of the 11 batters he faced. So far this spring, Brown's allowed just one run over 8.2 innings while racking up 14 strikeouts. The right-hander, who's already been announced as the Astros' Opening Day starter, is expected to anchor Houston's rotation in 2026 after pitching to a 2.43 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP and 206 strikeouts in 31 starts (185.1 innings) last season.

Everson Pereira LF | CHW
White Sox's Everson Pereira: Back in action Monday
Pereira (oblique) will start in right field and bat second in Monday's Cactus League game against the Rockies.
Pereira will be making his spring debut after he was initially scheduled to play Feb. 20 before being scratched due to right oblique soreness. The outfielder had been able to take part in running and core-strengthening workouts throughout the duration of his absence, but after recently resuming hitting and experiencing no discomfort, he's been given the green light to play in games. Pereira still has a chance to stake his claim to a spot on the White Sox's Opening Day roster, and the fact that he has no minor-league options remaining is a factor that may work in his favor.

Cam Smith 3B | HOU
Astros' Cam Smith: Homers Sunday
Smith went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit League matchup against the Nationals.
Smith opened the scoring Sunday with a 440-foot blast off Orlando Ribalta, his first long ball this spring. After going 2-for-13 in his first six Grapefruit League contests, Smith has gone 3-for-6 with a pair of extra-base hits in his last two games. It's certainly a positive sign for the 23-year-old, as he looks to claim a spot on Houston's Opening Day roster.

Cedric Mullins CF | TB
Rays' Cedric Mullins: On track to play Tuesday
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Mullins (back) will return to the Grapefruit League lineup Tuesday against the Twins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Mullins hasn't played since last Tuesday while managing a sore back, but the Rays never viewed the injury as a long-term concern. He should have plenty of time to pick up at-bats during spring training in advance of Opening Day. The 31-year-old appears likely to open the season in the strong side of a platoon in center field.

Ivan Herrera C | STL
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Aims to return Tuesday or Wednesday
Herrera (knee) will go through a series of workouts Monday, with an eye on returning to Grapefruit League play Tuesday or Wednesday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Herrera was scratched from the Cardinals' lineup Saturday against the Mets due to knee inflammation. He did some early-morning workouts Monday to test the knee and will continue with more activities to gauge his readiness to return to action. Herrera is projected to begin the season as St. Louis' primary designated hitter. He's also expected to be worked in at catcher, though it's possible the knee issue affects how often he's used behind the plate.

Chandler Simpson CF | TB
Rays' Chandler Simpson: Expected to play Tuesday
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Simpson (hamstring) will return to the Grapefruit League lineup Tuesday against the Twins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Simpson hasn't played since last Tuesday after experiencing renewed soreness in his left hamstring, which had previously been bothering earlier in camp. After a week-long layoff, Simpson is feeling better and ready to return to game action. Despite being limited to just four spring appearances thus far, Simpson should still have plenty of time to stockpile plate appearances in preparation for the start of the regular season.

Erik Miller RP | SF
Giants' Erik Miller: Ready to face hitters
Miller (back) is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The live BP session will be the final hurdle that Miller needs to clear in his recovery from a back injury before making his Cactus League debut, perhaps as soon as later this week. Considering that Miller wasn't tasked with recording more than four outs in any of his 36 relief appearances for the Giants last season, he won't require much ramp-up time and should be ready to go for Opening Day.
