The Phillies recalled Rangel from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to start Wednesday at Cincinnati in what's expected to be a bullpen game, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Philadelphia optioned Rangel to Triple-A following his most recent start last Thursday against the Pirates, but he'll be back with the big club to fill the open spot in the rotation six days later after the Phillies placed Lou Trivino (back) on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Though the club is labeling Wednesday's contest as a bullpen day, Rangel should still be capable of providing the club with at least four or five innings since he'll be pitching on normal rest. Over his prior four appearances (one start) with the Phillies, Rangel turned in a 3.38 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB across 16 innings.

Grisham is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Grisham started each of the first five games for the Yankees upon his return from the injured list last week, but the left-handed batter will take a seat Wednesday as the Rays send southpaw Shane McClanahan to the bump. Max Schuemann will cover center field for New York.

Chisholm is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Tampa Bay.

Chisholm has just a .448 OPS with a 2:14 BB:K over his last 30 plate appearances, so he will get a day off to recalibrate. Jose Caballero is drawing a start at second base for the Yankees and will bat ninth.

The Giants recalled Rodriguez from Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday.

He'll be up in the big leagues for the second time this season, joining the Giants' active roster as a replacement for outfielder Jonah Cox (oblique), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. Between his time in the majors and minors this season, Rodriguez as seen action at catcher, second base, third base, left field and right field, so he'll provide the Giants with some versatility off the bench. Though Rodriguez fared respectably as a hitter with a .687 OPS in 43 plate appearances during his stint in the majors earlier in 2026, he's not regarded as anything more than an adequate defender behind the plate. As such, it's unclear if the Giants intend to give Rodriguez an extended look at catcher over the likes of Drew Cavanaugh and Eric Haase while Daniel Susac (back) is on the shelf.

The Mets placed Warren on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right forearm strain.

The injury could help explain Warren's recent struggles, as he's coughed up nine runs over his last two outings. Prior to those two appearances, Warren had posted a 2.45 ERA and 36:16 K:BB over 33 innings. The Mets haven't provided a timeline for Warren's return, but the nature of the injury suggests he'll be in store for longer than a minimum-length absence.

The Giants placed Cox on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to a left oblique strain.

Since his placement on the IL is retroactive to Monday, Cox will be eligible to rejoin the Giants' active roster immediately following the All-Star break, though even mild oblique strains often carry recovery timelines of multiple weeks. Since being called up from Double-A Richmond on May 31, Cox has hit .269 with one home run, four steals, three RBI and five runs in 24 games while serving mainly as a short-side platoon player in the outfield.

The Mets recalled Myers from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday.

Myers has collected an unsightly 6.21 ERA in three starts and 21 relief appearances for the Mets this season. He will be assigned to the bullpen, where he's capable of eating multiple innings.

The Mets selected Curry's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday.

Curry began the season in the Mexican League before signing with the Mets in May and being assigned to Syracuse, where he logged a 4.74 ERA and 32:12 K:BB over 49.1 innings. He'll give the Mets' bullpen some much-needed length after the club yielded 16 runs in Tuesday's loss to the Royals.

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

The Tigers will send Carpenter and fellow left-handed hitters Colt Keith and James Outman to the bench while southpaw Jeffrey Springs takes the hill for the Athletics. Ben Malgeri will spell Carpenter in right field and will bat seventh.
