Troy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

Troy will give way to Tim Tawa in center field after occupying the position in the Diamondbacks' previous five contests. Since getting the call to the big leagues May 23, Troy has been a near-everyday player for Arizona but hasn't been a strong source of fantasy value. Through his first 36 games in the majors, Troy has scored 20 runs, but his production in other categories has been severely lacking (.221 average, three home runs, one stolen base, seven RBI).

Vargas is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

Vargas will hit the bench after he started in each of the last four games -- once at second base, three times at first base -- and went 4-for-15 with a double, a walk and two RBI. Though his production has tailed off after a scorching start to the season, Vargas could nonetheless be encroaching on Pavin Smith's role as Arizona's primary first baseman. The left-handed Smith will be included in the lineup Tuesday, but he sat in favor of Vargas in two of the Diamondbacks' previous three matchups versus righties.

Goodman was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers due to a wrist injury, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Goodman said that he jammed his wrist during a play at the plate during Monday's game, and although the severity of his injury remains unknown, it will prevent him from playing in Tuesday's game. His absence will enable TJ Rumfield to join the starting nine and bat third.

Joyce (shoulder) is set to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with the Angels' Arizona Complex League squad Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Joyce has missed the entirety of the 2026 campaign while recovering from May 2025 shoulder surgery and a subsequent May 2026 setback. His rehab assignment will likely be a prolonged one, spanning outings at various levels in the Angels' minor-league system.

Ohtani is expected to make his regularly scheduled start on the mound Friday against Arizona, Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ohtani was dealing with a right biceps injury last week, but the 32-year-old appears to have moved past the issue, easing concerns about his availability for his next turn in the rotation. Manager Dave Roberts feels strongly about Ohtani's chances to go Friday, stating that "as we sit here, I don't see that changing." The right-handed pitcher has posted a slightly inflated 4.38 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 24.2 innings in his last four starts.

Eaton will begin serving a two-game suspension Tuesday, Sean McAdam of MassLive.com reports.

Major League Baseball initially issued Eaton a three-game ban for his role in the bench-clearing altercation between the Red Sox and Nationals last Tuesday, but his suspension has been cut down to two games following an appeal. He'll be eligible to return for Thursday's series finale against the White Sox.

Springer isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Springer will miss out on the starting nine for a second straight game since returning from the family emergency list Monday. Sean Keys will fill in as Toronto's designated hitter and bat seventh.

Kirk isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Kirk will get a break Tuesday after going 0-for-7 with a walk across his last two starts. Brandon Valenzuela will replace him behind the plate and bat fifth.

The Blue Jays recalled Dallas from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Dallas conceded one earned run in 3.2 innings during his MLB debut June 4 and has since given up just one run in 13.2 frames at Triple-A. His strong performance will now buy him another look in the majors, presumably as a long-relief option. Yohendrick Pinango was optioned to Buffalo in a corresponding move.

The Blue Jays optioned Pinango to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Pinango has gone just 4-for-23 (.174) in eight games since his return to the big leagues, and he'll now end up as the roster casualty necessary to clear space for Chad Dallas. The 24-year-old Pinango still owns a .726 OPS with Toronto this season and figures to return to the majors later in the year.
