Gusto is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks in Miami.

After being recalled Triple-A Jacksonville last Tuesday, Gusto pitched two innings out of the bullpen later that day in a 7-3 win over the Nationals. The Marlins then tabbed Gusto to fill the open spot in their rotation Friday, but because he was pitching on just two days' rest, he served as more of an opener and made just a two-inning start in a 6-0 loss to the Rays. Tyler Phillips piggybacked Gusto in long relief in that game, but the Marlins could look to separate the two pitchers during this upcoming turn through the rotation. Gusto had been working as a more traditional starter at Triple-A prior to his call-up, turning in a 1.20 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB in 15 innings over his final three appearances for Jacksonville.

Lee went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

Lee recorded four singles Monday, scoring in the sixth and eighth innings. The 27-year-old outfielder has been scorching hot of late, batting .587 with 12 runs scored, five RBI and two stolen bases across 47 plate appearances in 11 outings since returning from the injured list. He's recorded a hit in 16 straight games dating back to May 14 and is now slashing .333/.367/.453 with 32 runs scored, 22 RBI, three home runs and two stolen bases in 240 plate appearances this season.

Kolek (personal) is listed as the Royals' probable starter for Tuesday's game against the Rangers in Kansas City.

Kansas City placed Kolek on the family medical emergency leave list Thursday, but the right-hander looks set to rejoin the Royals for the start of their series with the Rangers and won't have to miss a turn through the rotation. The Royals will make his activation official shortly before Tuesday's 7:40 p.m. ET start time.

High-A South Bend placed Cepeda on the 7-day injured list April 29 with a lower-body injury, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

Cepeda hasn't played since April 18 due to the injury. The 20-year-old infielder has hit .211 with one steal, zero home runs and seven strikeouts in five games this season.

Clement went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Phillies.

The 30-year-old infielder took Cristopher Sanchez deep in the fifth inning, providing the last bit of offense in a 5-2 loss. Clement has two homers in the last three games and four multi-hit performances in the first seven games of June, boosting his slash line on the season to .309/.328/.473 with seven home runs, two steals, 26 RBI and 31 runs in 66 contests.

High-A Bowling Green placed Brito on its 7-day injured list May 23 due to an unspecified issue.

Brito, a 21-year-old righty, had submitted a 3.34 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 42:21 K:BB in 32.1 innings over his first eight starts with Bowling Green before landing on the shelf.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that Caballero will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

The Yankees will go with Anthony Volpe at shortstop in the second game of the three-game set. Since returning from the injured list in late May, Caballero has started 11 of 15 games (five at shortstop), while Volpe has started 10 of 15 (all at shortstop).

High-A Frederick placed George on its 7-day injured list May 7 due to an undisclosed medical issue, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

When he addressed George's situation May 15, Orioles president of baseball operations Mike Elias didn't delve into much detail regarding the matter beyond relaying the 20-year-old outfielder would be "out for a while." A 16th-round draft pick in 2024, George arrived in the professional ranks without much of a pedigree but cemented himself as one of the Orioles' top prospects after producing a .337/.413/.483 slash line with five home runs and 50 steals in 87 games across three levels in 2025. George had gotten off to a nice start to the 2026 campaign prior to being shut down in early May, posting a .372 on-base percentage while notching 15 steals in 17 attempts over 20 games with Frederick.

Hurd (elbow) has allowed 11 runs (10 earned) on 11 hits and five walks while striking out six batters across seven innings since being activated from Single-A Tampa's 7-day injured list May 26.

The No. 89 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Hurd didn't make his professional debut until just over a month ago after completing his recovery from February 2025 Tommy John surgery. The 23-year-old righty was sharp over three rehab appearances in the rookie-level Florida Complex League (1.59 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB in 11.1 innings), but he was roughed up for 10 runs in just 2.1 innings in his first start for Tampa. Hurd bounced back nicely his last time out for Tampa, however, striking out four and permitting one unearned run across 4.2 frames.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said after Monday's extra-innings win over the Athletics that Megill was unavailable to pitch in the game due to "discomfort," Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Murphy did not offer any additional details regarding Megill's injury. Megill did battle a flexor strain in his right arm during the second half last season and was given a PRP injection over the winter, though there's no indication at this point that this is a recurrence of that injury. Abner Uribe is the favorite for saves in the Brewers' bullpen for as long as Megill is unavailable.
