Ohtani won't be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani is set to work as a pitcher and a hitter Wednesday, so the Dodgers will give him a full day to rest and recover during Thursday's series finale. The two-way star has been looking much more like his usual self at the plate recently, slashing .385/.467/.667 across his last 10 games, and he remains dominant on the mound with a 0.82 ERA through 55 innings on the season.

Tovar isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Tovar will get a chance to regroup Wednesday after going 0-for-9 with six strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Willi Castro will shift to shortstop in Tovar's absence, opening up second base for Edouard Julien.

Henderson received an injection in his back Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Henderson was placed on the injured list Tuesday with a lower-back strain, and the Brewers anticipate him returning to the rotation sometime in late June or early July. Robert Gasser, Coleman Crow and Shane Drohan have all received starts while the Brewers look for ways to replace Henderson in the rotation.

The Blue Jays acquired Woods Richardson from the Twins on Wednesday in exchange for cash, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Minnesota designated Woods Richardson for assignment last weekend after he put up a 7.74 ERA and 1.89 WHIP over 47.2 innings. He'll reclaim a 40-man roster spot upon rejoining the Blue Jays organization, with whom he spent parts of three seasons in the minors. Woods Richardson could fill an immediate need for the big club in the rotation or as a long-relief arm, as the Blue Jays currently have 10 pitchers on the injured list.

Neto (neck) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Wednesday will mark the Angels' third consecutive game without Neto in the starting nine while he battles whiplash. Manager Kurt Suzuki said the decision to sit him down was precautionary, per Bollinger, so it doesn't seem like the team is worried about the 25-year-old's injury leading to a stint on the IL. Oswald Peraza will pick up another start at shortstop; meanwhile, Neto will have a team off day to recover ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Dodgers.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-1 loss to the Mets.

Crawford was responsible for three of the Mariners' six hits Wednesday and their lone run -- the shortstop led off the home half of the first inning with a 409-foot blast off Freddy Peralta for his 10th homer of the year and fourth in the last nine games. Crawford's boosted his slash line to .224/.351/.406 across 231 plate appearances with 30 runs scored and 23 RBI this season.

Manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday that Burnes (elbow) has been shut down from throwing after suffering a teres major strain, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Burnes has been throwing to live hitters over the past couple of weeks while working his way back from a Tommy John procedure he underwent last June, and he reportedly felt something in his side/shoulder during his last session. The team is hopeful that the 31-year-old righty will still be able to return sometime in September, though a more precise timeline will likely take shape once he's cleared to restart his throwing program.

Kirby (5-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Mets, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk across four innings. He struck out five.

Kirby was decent early, holding New York to one run through his first three frames, but he faded in the fourth, when he allowed four runs on four hits. The loss is Kirby's third in his last four starts -- he's struggled to a 7.29 ERA across 21 innings in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.04 on the year with a 1.28 WHIP and 64:18 K:BB through 13 starts (78 innings). Kirby will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively scheduled to come next week in Baltimore.

The Angels transferred d'Arnaud (foot) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

D'Arnaud has been on the injured list since May 8 due to right foot plantar fasciitis, so his move to the 60-day IL will guarantee he remains sidelined through the beginning of July. Sebastian Rivero will continue to work as the Angels' backup catcher until then, and Shaun Anderson will claim the open spot on the 40-man roster.

Peralta (4-4) earned the win Wednesday over the Mariners, allowing a run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

Peralta's day got off to an ominous start, as he surrendered a home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the bottom of the first inning. However, he'd stop the damage there, blanking Seattle over his final five frames en route to his fourth win this season. It's also Peralta's first quality start in his last four outings -- he had posted a subpar 4.37 ERA across 22.2 innings in his prior four starts. Overall, Peralta's ERA sits at 3.38 with a 1.31 WHIP and 74:30 K:BB across 72 innings this season. He's currently lined up to face the Cardinals at home his next time out.
