Lockridge (knee) will attempt to run at 85-to-90 percent intensity Monday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

If he bounces back well from that, Lockridge will be one of the hitters against Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) in a simulated game Wednesday. Lockridge has been shelved since early May with a deep laceration in his right knee and will likely require a rehab assignment before rejoining the active roster.

Woodruff (shoulder) will throw a three-up live batting practice session Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

He's expected to throw around 60 pitches in the outing. He could be cleared to rejoin the Brewers' rotation after that, though it's also possible they'll ask him to make a rehab start. Woodruff has been sidelined since late April because of right shoulder inflammation.

Sandlin is slated to start Monday's game against the Twins at Target Field.

As expected, Sandlin will receive a second straight turn through the Chicago rotation after an impressive showing in his MLB debut last Wednesday versus the same Twins squad at Rate Field. The 25-year-old righty picked up a win and struck out four batters while issuing no walks and limiting Minnesota to just one hit (a solo home run) over six innings. Sandlin was pulled from the game after throwing just 61 pitches, and considering that he didn't cover more than four frames in any of his six minor-league appearances prior to his call-up, the White Sox seem likely to manage his workload carefully in future starts.

Marlins manager Clayton McCollough confirmed that Gusto will be recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville and pitch in Tuesday's game versus the Nationals, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.

Gusto will likely either make a traditional start or serve in a bulk relief role against the Nationals. The Marlins could need Gusto for multiple starts as they navigate the losses of Eury Perez (hamstring) and Janson Junk (shin). Gusto has collected a 3.63 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB in 39.2 innings for Jacksonville this season.

Twins manager Derek Shelton said Monday that Sands (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Theodore Tollefson of Zone Coverage reports.

Sands hasn't pitched in more than a month as he recovers from a right forearm strain, but he'll be ready to take a big step forward Tuesday. He will likely require at least a couple rehab appearances before rejoining the active roster. Once he does return, Sands should be thrown back into the late-inning mix as part of an unsettled Twins bullpen.

Romo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Romo had been serving as the White Sox's No. 1 catcher for much of May, but he appears to have since fallen into more of a timeshare with Edgar Quero. The White Sox will go with Quero behind the dish Monday for the fourth time in six games, with two of those starts coming against left-handers and two coming versus righties. Romo's downturn in playing time comes while he's hit just .171 with a 27.8 percent strikeout rate over his last 10 contests.

Gilbert is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

The left-handed-hitting Gilbert had started in center field in the Giants' final two games of their series with the Rockies over the weekend, but he'll hit the bench Monday with southpaw Shane Drohan opening the game for Milwaukee. In Gilbert's stead, Jonah Cox will pick up his first MLB start, and the two could wind up being used as a platoon in center field until Harrison Bader (foot) is ready to return from the injured list.

Susac is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

The Giants will hand Susac a night off after he started behind the dish in three of the team's previous four contests. Eric Haase will receive the nod at catcher as the Giants kick off a four-game set in Milwaukee.

Nationals manager Blake Butera said Monday that Irvin (shoulder) remains shut down from throwing, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Irvin has made some progress since he went down with a right shoulder strain a little over a week ago, but it hasn't come as quickly as anticipated. He will remain limited to strengthening exercises for the time being.

Sanoja is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Sanoja will head to the bench for the third time in five games while the Marlins continue to take a committee approach to the third-base position rather than leaning exclusively on one player. Following his recent return from the 7-day concussion injured list, Leo Jimenez will get a chance to cover the hot corner in the series opener in Washington.
