Garcia is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Garcia started in left field in Monday's 2-1 win in the series opener, going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. Since being called up from Triple-A Indianapolis last week, Garcia is slashing .250/.286/.250 over six games and may have to settle for a part-time role until he raises his production and earns steadier playing time.

Meyers isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Meyers will get a break after going 0-for-5 with a run scored during Monday's contest. While he rests, Taylor Trammell, Brice Matthews and Cam Smith will form the Astros' outfield trio.

Koenig (elbow) said his live bullpen session went well Tuesday and he expects to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Koenig hit the 15-day injured list April 6 with a left elbow sprain and was diagnosed as having UCL damage. The southpaw was able to resume throwing April 28 and returned to mound work May 12. Given where he is in his rehab process, the reliever's return looks likely to come in early-to-mid June.

Dezenzo isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Dezenzo will get a breather Tuesday after going 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored during Houston's win in Monday's series opener. Taylor Trammell starts in left field, batting fifth.

Conforto is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.

After going 0-for-12 with five strikeouts while starting in the past four games, the slumping Conforto will head to the bench. Moises Ballesteros will receive the nod at designated hitter Tuesday in place of Conforto.

Vazquez isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Vazquez will take a seat Tuesday after going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored during Monday's series opener. Cesar Salazar will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth.

Castellanos is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Phillies.

Castellanos had started in six of the last seven games for the Padres since May 18. He recorded just two hits across 22 plate appearances in that span, with one of those hits being a home run. The Padres' outfield Tuesday is comprised of Gavin Sheets, Jackson Merrill and Ramon Laureano.

Rivero is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Detroit.

Rivero had started behind the plate in three of the Angels' last four games, but he'll move to the bench with top backstop Logan O'Hoppe (head) back in action after overcoming a minor injury. So long as O'Hoppe is healthy, the 27-year-old Rivero likely won't see more than a start or two per week while he's maintained a lowly .118/.167/.118 slash line since being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on April 26.

Mayo (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Though he'll miss out on a fourth consecutive start Tuesday, Mayo said that his sore back feels much better after he went through a pregame workout and anticipates being able to play off the bench, per Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com. Blaze Alexander will cover third base Tuesday, but Mayo could return to the starting nine at the hot corner in Wednesday's series finale.

Single-A Kannapolis placed Carlson on its 7-day injured list Tuesday after the infielder was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture of the tip of his left thumb, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Carlson sustained the injury Saturday and is expected to require 4-to-6 weeks of recovery time. His thumb will be placed in a splint initially while he waits for the fracture to heal. The No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, the 19-year-old Carlson has slashed .257/.386/.340 with no home runs, eight stolen bases and a 27:45 BB:K over his first 39 pro games.
