Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Achieves milestone in loss
Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 loss to San Diego.
Perdomo's homer was his 20th, the first time he's reached that milestone. While other regulars were given the day off after Arizona was eliminated from the postseason Friday, Perdomo insisted on playing his 160th game, per Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. There's a good chance he adds to that Sunday, as Perdomo is one RBI shy of a 20-100 year entering the final game of the regular season. It's been a remarkable year of development for Perdomo, whose 6.9 bWAR is among MLB leaders and tops position players in the NL.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Homers in win
Bogaerts went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Bogaerts launched a 424-foot homer off Eduardo Rodriguez in the first inning, his first extra-base hit since coming off the injured list Tuesday. The veteran shortstop has hit safely in three of four games since rejoining the Padres, going 4-for-16 in that span. He's slashing .262/.328/.389 with 11 home runs, 51 RBI, 62 runs scored and 20 steals across 550 plate appearances and appears healthy as the club gears up for the postseason.

Tatis led off with his third homer in as many days to spark a three-run first inning for the Padres. The 26-year-old is closing the regular season on a strong note, hitting safely in nine of his last 10 games with four home runs, eight RBI, 13 runs scored and three stolen bases in that span. He's slashing .267/.367/.446 with 25 long balls, 71 RBI, 110 runs scored and 32 steals across 689 plate appearances.

Michael King SP | SD
Padres' Michael King: Abbreviated outing in no-decision
King did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks, allowing one hit and two walks with three strikeouts over 2.2 scoreless innings.
King generated seven whiffs on 49 pitches in his final regular-season outing as the Padres gear up to face the Cubs in the wild-card round. The 30-year-old posted a 5.74 ERA over four starts since returning from the injured list Sept. 9, though much of that damage came in an eight-run blowup against the Mets three turns ago. He'll wrap up an injury-plagued season with a 3.44 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 76:26 K:BB over 73.1 innings, while his role for the postseason remains unsettled.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Eduardo Rodriguez: Allows three homers in loss
Rodriguez (9-9) took the loss against the Padres on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk with six strikeouts over six innings.
Rodriguez was tagged for three homers over his first two innings but managed to settle in and blank the Padres across his final four frames. The outing capped an up-and-down season for the 32-year-old, who allowed five earned runs in four of his last 10 starts but also turned in three scoreless efforts during that stretch. He'll close the year with a 5.02 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 143:60 K:BB across 154.1 innings.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Tallies three hits in loss
Langeliers went 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Royals.
Langeliers brought the Athletics within a run with an RBI double in the eighth inning. The catcher has doubled in four straight games, each of which have been multi-hit efforts for him. He's batting .354 (28-for-79) in September, a hot stretch that has lifted his season slash line to .277/.325/.536 across 123 contests. Langeliers has added 31 home runs, 72 RBI, 73 runs scored, 32 doubles and seven stolen bases in a breakout campaign that cements him among the upper tier of catchers in the majors.

Luis Morales SP | ATH
Athletics' Luis Morales: Inefficient in loss
Morales (4-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Royals on Saturday.
Morales needed 101 pitches (59 strikes) in this outing, which was far from his best work of the year. Over his 10 appearances (nine starts) in the majors, the rookie right-hander maintained a 3.14 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 43:18 K:BB across 48.2 innings. Morales' body of work in 2025 was decent -- he also had a 10.3 K/9 over 47 innings with Triple-A Las Vegas despite a 4.40 ERA. He should be in contention for a rotation spot from the get-go in 2026.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Nabs 38th steal
Witt went 2-for-5 with one RBI and one stolen base in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Athletics.
Witt continues to swing a hot bat to close out 2025 -- he's posted multiple hits in seven of his last 12 games, going 19-for-54 (.352) in that span. The shortstop is up to 38 steals on the year after his theft Saturday, giving him an outside chance of reaching 40 if he plays in the season finale Sunday. For the season, he's added a .296/.352/.502 slash line with 23 home runs, 86 RBI, 99 runs scored, 46 doubles and six triples over 156 contests.

Carlos Estevez RP | KC
Royals' Carlos Estevez: Clinches saves lead for season
Estevez struck out two and hit a batter while pitching a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Athletics.
This was Estevez's 42nd save of the season, ensuring he would finish first in the majors in the category -- he's two ahead of San Diego's Robert Suarez with one day left in the campaign. Opportunities have been limited for Estevez in September, as he's collected saves in six of his seven appearances for the month. The right-handed closer is at a 2.45 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 54:22 K:BB across 66 innings this year.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Royals' Michael Wacha: Gets to 10-win mark
Wacha (10-13) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out five over six scoreless innings to earn the win Saturday over the Athletics.
Wacha was able to end the season on a high note with his first quality start in five outings. The veteran right-hander earned a decision in each of his last 10 starts, going 6-4 with a 4.55 ERA after the start of August. His year as a whole was a little better than that last stretch despite the poor record, as he finished 2025 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 126:45 K:BB over 172.2 innings across 31 starts, though it was a slight step back from his work over the previous three seasons.
