Mullins went 4-for-4 with three singles, one steal, a solo home run and two additional runs scored during the Rays' 7-2 win over the Marlins on Friday.

Mullins utilized the bunt to get on base in both of his first two at-bats before smacking his third home run of the season (and first since April 18) in the sixth inning. He also logged his ninth steal of the season, which puts him eighth in the American League and second on the Rays behind Chandler Simpson (14). Over his last seven games, Mullins has gone 9-for-24 (.375) with three steals, one home run, five RBI and five runs scored.

Seymour allowed one run on two hits while striking out two across two innings while serving as the opener in the Rays' 7-2 win over the Marlins on Friday.

Seymour made his first start of the season Friday against Miami and went two innings as the opener, giving up a solo home run to Connor Norby in the second before handing the keys to Jesse Scholtens. Seymour has yielded a home run in two of his last three outings and has a 5.48 ERA and 1.36 WHIP over 21.1 innings this season. It's possible that Seymour operates as the Rays' opener when Scholtens makes his next appearance, which is tentatively slated for next week at home against the Orioles.

Scholtens (4-2) earned the win against the Marlins on Friday, allowing one run on five hits while striking out four across five innings. He did not issue a walk.

Ian Seymour served as the Rays' opener Friday and pitched in the first two innings before Scholtens took over. Scholtens was in control for most of his outing, with his lone blemish coming in the sixth inning, when he yielded a solo homer to Jakob Marsee. It was the first time since April 20 against the Reds that Scholtens completed five-plus frames, and he sits at a 3.06 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across 32.1 innings this season. He's lined up to face the Orioles at home next week, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Scholtens operate in a bulk-relief role again.

The Mariners will shut Raleigh (oblique) down for a week before re-evaluating him, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The results of Raleigh's MRI were reportedly better than the one he received earlier in the month, but after placing him on the injured list Thursday, the Mariners will give the slugging catcher a week to focus on rest and recovery. His period of no activity will almost certainly require him to spend more than the 10-day minimum on the shelf. In the meantime, Mitch Garver and Jhonny Pereda will share backstop duties for the M's.

The Dodgers pulled Graterol (shoulder) from his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City due to a back injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Graterol hasn't seen major-league action since the 2024 World Series while recovering from right shoulder surgery that he underwent in November of 2024. He was given the green light to embark on a rehab assignment in early May but is now dealing with a back issue, and the right-hander will undergo imaging on his back to determine the severity of the injury. The Dodgers should have an update on Graterol's recovery timeline once the team has the results of those tests.

Madden was removed from Friday's game against the Blue Jays after getting hit on the arm by a line drive, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Madden was immediately replaced on the mound after he took a 107.9-mph missile off his arm in the third inning of Friday's contest. The severity of his injury remains unknown, but he'll presumably head in for imaging to determine whether he suffered a fracture.

The Padres placed Waldron on the 15-day injured list Friday due to a right brachialis muscle injury.

Waldron was initially DFA'd by the Padres earlier in the day, but he'll instead go on the injured list with a forearm injury. It's his second stint on the 15-day IL this season, with a lower-body injury causing him to miss the first three weeks of the 2026 campaign. Right-hander Alek Jacob was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

The Dodgers recalled Barnes from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The move corresponds with the Dodgers placing Blake Snell on the 15-day injured list due to loose bodies in his left elbow. Barnes was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers from the Cubs on Saturday, and the southpaw's addition to Los Angeles' 26-man roster gives the team added length and another rotation option. Across seven games (four starts) in Triple-A this season, Barnes has a 3.04 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB in 26.2 innings.

The Dodgers placed Snell on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Tuesday, due to loose bodies in his left elbow, Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Snell was scratched from Friday's start against the Angels, and it's clear now why that was necessary. If he needs to undergo surgery like he did in 2019 for the same issue, then he's looking at 2-to-3 months on the shelf, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Southpaw Charlie Barnes was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

Schmitt is not in the Giants' starting lineup against the Athletics on Friday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

With the Athletics sending right-hander Aaron Civale to the mound, the Giants will go with the lefty-hitting Bryce Eldridge as the designated hitter for Friday's series opener while Schmitt opens the game on the bench. Schmitt went 0-for-8 with five strikeouts over his last two games.
