Bohm is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Bohm will get a day off as the Phillies take on Astros righty Hunter Brown. Kyle Schwarber is grabbing a start at first base for Philadelphia.

Vivas is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest in San Diego.

The left-handed-swinging Vivas typically starts against right-handers, but he will begin Wednesday's game on the bench while the Padres send veteran righty Walker Buehler to the hill. CJ Abrams is handling second base for the Nationals on Wednesday.

Ortiz is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Padres.

Righty Walker Buehler will be on the bump for the Padres, marking a rare occasion in which the left-handed-hitting Ortiz is not starting against a right-handed hurler. Yohandy Morales will play first base and will bat fifth for the Nationals.

House is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in San Diego.

House will receive a day of rest after starting each of the previous five contests at third base. Andres Chaparro will cover the hot corner and will bat third as the Nationals look to avoid their seventh consecutive loss.

Zastryzny (shoulder) has been sent to Triple-A Nashville to begin a rehab assignment, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Zastryzny hasn't pitched for the Brewers this season because of shoulder and intercostal injuries and has encountered multiple starts and stops on his rehab. He's ready to give it another go again in what will be his first game appearance in more than two months. Zastryzny could become an option for the Brewers' bullpen later this month if all goes well.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Springer is not in Wednesday's lineup versus the Athletics due to a nagging left shoulder and other bumps and bruises, Theo DeRosa of MLB.com reports.

It's the second straight day Springer has been held out and the fourth time over the last seven contests that he's been absent from the Toronto lineup. Springer is available off the bench Wednesday and there's a good chance he'll be back in the Blue Jays' lineup Friday when they return home to host the Orioles. Alejandro Kirk is getting a day at designated hitter Wednesday.

Rutschman is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Angels.

It's the second straight day that Rutschman's name has not appeared in Boston's starting lineup. He's dealt with a hyperextended right elbow recently and that issue could be flaring up again, though the Red Sox have yet to reveal whether Rutschman is hurt or is simply resting. Mickey Gasper is doing the catching for the Red Sox in Wednesday's series finale.

Whisenhunt will undergo Tommy John surgery Sept. 16, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

It had already been reported that Whisenhunt would have surgery to repair his left elbow UCL, and now it's been revealed that he will have a full Tommy John repair. The left-hander is likely to be sidelined until the 2028 campaign.

Montes is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Since his promotion, the left-handed-hitting Montes has now been held out of the lineup all four times the Mariners have faced a lefty hurler. He did deal with a minor hip injury during that time, as well, but it seems clear the rookie will be used on the strong side of a platoon. Montes clubbed his second big-league home run in Tuesday's game, and he's 4-for-18 with a 1:9 BB:K in his first six games in the majors.

Arnold has been diagnosed with intra-orbital and maxillary sinus fractures after being struck in the left side of the face by a line drive during a start Tuesday at Triple-A Las Vegas, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com.

Facing his second batter of the game, Arnold was drilled on the left cheek by a 107 mph line drive. He immediately walked off the mound and into the clubhouse without assistance, but subsequent testing revealed the fractures. Arnold was making just his second start since being promoted to Las Vegas, and he was charged with one run while failing to record an out Tuesday. He will not need surgery, but the left-hander's season is over and it's uncertain beyond that how long his rehab will take. Arnold has collected a 3.50 ERA and 130:52 K:BB over 118.1 innings covering 25 starts this season between Double-A Midland and Las Vegas.
