Caissie (illness) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Caissie is on the bench for the second day in a row, after an illness caused him to be scratched prior to Saturday's 4-0 win. The Phillies are sending left-hander Jesus Luzardo to the hill Sunday, so Caissie's continued absence from the starting nine might have more to do with the matchup than his illness.

Manager Walt Weiss said Sunday that Acuna has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his left hamstring, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The 28-year-old outfielder was placed on the injured list earlier Sunday after sustaining the injury during Saturday's 9-1 win over the Rockies, but he appears to have avoided a more serious setback than Atlanta had feared. Acuna is without an official timeline for his return, but the encouraging diagnosis could mean that his absence isn't a lengthy one.

Marchan is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

On the bench for the second day in a row, Marchan has moved back into the No. 2 role at catcher after J.T. Realmuto was reinstated from the injured list Saturday. Before Realmuto's return, Marchan had started five of the Phillies' prior six games and gone 1-for-16.

Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 First-Year Player Draft will give way to Joey Bart behind the plate. Davis started the last three games and went 2-for-12 with a pair of home runs, a walk, four RBI and an additional run over that stretch.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Smith will take a seat after going 1-for-6 with two walks and a strikeout in the first two games of the series. Dalton Rushing is taking over behind the plate and batting sixth for the Dodgers.

The Orioles optioned Raquet to Triple-A Norfolk.

He'll give up his spot on the roster to Trey Gibson, who was called up from Norfolk to start Sunday's game against the Yankees. Raquet's latest stint in the majors lasted just one day, with the 30-year-old tossing a scoreless inning in Saturday's 9-4 loss.

Rengifo will start at third base and bat leadoff in Sunday's game against the Nationals, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Rengifo had been scheduled to get Sunday off, but he'll instead make a fifth consecutive start as a result of Brice Turang (illness) being a late scratch. David Hamilton will slide over from third base to second base to make room in the lineup for Rengifo, who will replace Turang as the club's table setter.

Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Marlins, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Garcia started the previous eight games and will take a seat Sunday after posting a .273/.314/.364 slash line with five RBI and three runs during that stretch. Felix Reyes, Justin Crawford and Brandon Marsh will start from left to right in the outfield for the series finale in Miami.

Turang was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals due to an illness, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Brewers haven't indicated whether Turang will be available off the bench for the series finale in Washington, but the team may prefer to give him a full day to recover. David Hamilton had been scheduled to start at third base Sunday but will instead cover second base while Luis Rengifo mans the hot corner.

Ryan was removed from Sunday's start against the Blue Jays during the first inning with an apparent injury, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The right-hander struck out Yohendrick Pinango to start the game and then walked Kazuma Okamoto, after which Ryan signaled to the dugout and exited the contest with training staff. His final pitch was a 90.9-mph fastball, which is nearly two ticks slower than his average fastball velocity (92.6 mph) in the early going this season. The nature of the injury isn't clear, but Ryan's availability for his next turn through the rotation is now in question.
