Springs was lifted midway through the second inning of his start Sunday against the Twins due to an apparent injury, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports. He was charged with five runs (four earned) on four hits and one walk across 1.1 innings.

After recording just four outs on 36 pitches, Springs was pulled from Sunday's series finale in the middle of an at-bat against Austin Martin. Luis Morales came on from the bullpen to replace Springs. The Athletics will likely provide an update on the nature and severity of Springs' injury later Sunday.

Pages (illness) will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Reds.

Pages was a late scratch from the lineup ahead of Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Angels after coming down with a stomach virus, but he's moved past the ailment and will pick up his first start since July 18. The Cardinals aren't expected to have more than one or two starts per week available for Pages while Jimmy Crooks and Ivan Herrera are both healthy.

Church is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The left-handed hitter will hit the bench against southpaw Andrew Abbott. Church had been included in the St. Louis lineup each of the previous three contests, going 1-for-8 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.

Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Jose Trevino will receive the nod at catcher while Stephenson rests for the series finale. Stephenson went 3-for-11 with two doubles, one RBI and one run while starting behind the plate in the Reds' previous three games.

Arroyo is absent from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

After failing to extend his four-game hitting streak in Saturday's 7-0 loss, Arroyo will ride the bench for Sunday's series finale. Spencer Steer will cover second base in Arroyo's stead.

Larnach is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Larnach will take a seat Sunday while southpaw Jeffrey Springs draws the start for the Athletics. Austin Martin will replace Larnach in left field and bat leadoff.

Bell is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Athletics.

After going 0-for-6 with two walks, a run scored and a strikeout between the first two games of the series, Bell will get the day off for the series finale. Byron Buxton will get a break from playing center field but stay in the lineup at designated hitter while Bell heads to the bench.

Butler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Butler will see a four-game starting streak come to an end as southpaw Connor Prielipp toes the rubber for the Twins. Since the start of July, Butler is slashing just .196/.344/.275 with zero home runs, zero steals, five runs and four RBI in 18 games.

Thomas (wrist) will start in right field and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Twins.

Thomas suffered an injury scare in the Athletics' 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Monday, when he was struck in the left wrist by a pitch. He was fortunate to avoid any structural damage, but he dealt with a painful bruise that kept him on the bench for the ensuing four contests. Thomas is back in the starting nine Sunday against Twins southpaw Connor Prielipp and should continue to hold down the short side of a platoon in the Athletics outfield now that he's moved past the wrist issue.

The Twins placed Paredes (oblique) on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

The right-hander was scheduled to start Saturday against the A's but was scratched due to an oblique issue, and he'll now be sidelined for at least the next couple weeks. A longer absence wouldn't be surprising for Paredes given the nature of the injury.
